There are so many stand out moments.... Roth and Layla return from their task of recruiting Lucifer with interesting results. All the familiars make an appearance and I was so happy that the kittens had their turn in the limelight.... Also, Bambi, I can never get enough of Bambi!
If you haven't read the Dark Elements series, definitely pick that up before you read the Harbinger series!
❄️ The case of Trinity's 'Snowflake-Poppy Seepage' ❄️
"Learning how the Wardens became who they were was mind-blowing, and I had questions."
"I was more than happy to get stabby."
And my personal favourite, the ellipses... (though not nearly as bad as in Blood and Ash):
"but then I... I didn't know"
"I don't think... I don't think I would've survived"
"and I wanted... I wanted to touch one so badly"
"and I... I soaked up the affection like a happy little sponge"
✨ The Pop Culture References ✨
They landed about half the time for me. The other half... eye roll inducing.
Crimson streaked across Lucifer's eyes. "Oh, no, you did not just call me that."
"You done messed up," Lucifer growled, yanking its heart out.
I think my problem is with Lucifer. Lucifer, THE DEVIL, who loves the tv show Supernatural (yeah, okay) and then talks like this? Ughhh, didn't work for me.
*** SPOILERS FOR THIS NEXT PART***
There is a pregnancy scare, which of course isn't really because... duh. But they mention that there are "tests now that can tell you yes or no within a day or so of conception". INCORRECT. It is, for most people, 2 weeks and even then you need to have enough hCG in your system for those two lines to appear and that varies from person to person. The EARLIEST that the average pee test (and even those that claim to do so early) is around 8 days after conception. So no, it isn't "within a day or so".
For some reason pregnancy inaccuracies, or stereotypical representations of pregnancy in general, really irritate me so yeah... this probably annoyed me more than it should and it doesn't really matter in the scheme of things, but whatever.
It wasn't a bad finale, it just wasn't what I was expecting and felt like a let down. I loved the first two books in this series but this one, sadly, didn't hit the mark for me.
A Barbie Girl-loving Lucifer, a fallen angel and a Trueborn walk into a bar (and by bar I mean End Of Days level showdown)...
Well holy crap on a cracker - Grace & Glory is full of twists, turns, and a ton of sassy pop culture references.
Angels and demons and gargoyles, oh my! It’s like an episode of supernatural on a sugar-high - and I loved every moment.
Trinity inspires me as a character, the way she is dealing with her eyesight deteriorating. We all have our battles and it actually makes me happy to see the struggle with no magic solution. There’s no miracle cures in life for many things and it is so relatable to read about a character dealing with that reality.
Zayne has always been a bit of a wet blanket in my books, thanks to my Roth-loving ways, but he has definitely grown in this series and I now adore him after reading the conclusion of this trilogy.
Bambi’s crush on Zayne is the best thing I’ve ever read 😂
I love the idea that love can override anything - logic, common sense, and even death. In a world gone to chaos, it is a reassuring and important message ❤️
The last few lines of this book killed me. I’m not crying, you’re crying.
Grace & Glory is the finale to Zane and Trinity’s story. Once again JLA does not disappoint and gives her characters the ending they deserve.

Firstly let me see that I didn’t love the Harbinger series as much as her From Blood and Ash series. I didn’t even enjoy it as much as Covenant, the Lux series or some of her standalones. But holy smokes this book? Completely changed all that!
I was a little disappointed by JLA’s last book, The Crown of Gilded Bones, I’m not going to lie. Because it felt in that book that the relationship between Casteel and Poppy had stagnated and there was a lot of repetition particularly in the middle of the book where everything dragged. But Grace and Glory? Redeemed everything. I liked Storm and Fury and Rage and Ruin. But I didn’t fall in love with Trinity and Zayne as a couple, or with the first two books like I did with this one.
There’s action aplenty, heartbreak, emotion interspersed with a boatload of humour, and a relationship that you actually believe in. There are side characters that add a million fold to the story, from Roth and Layla to Cayman, Dex and Nikolai and Gideon, plus Lucifer - oh my word, Lucifer! Then the familiars and Michael and Peanut...This story will have you on the edge of your seat, it will have you beside yourself with laughter, it will make you clutch your chest with the ache of heartbreak, and get you falling in love with Zayne. Zayne reminds me of Aiden in Covenant, but in this story he develops more of an edge, which makes him a much more interesting character!
I haven’t bought the physical books of the Harbinger series until now, I only had the Kindle versions. But that is about to change...right now.
God, read this book. It will restore your faith in good books and ignite your love of reading if you found yourself getting a little jaded and apathetic. 10/10 JLA. You gem you!
“I did everything that I could. You did everything that you could. I love you, Trinity, and not even death can break that kind of bond.”
Onto the review… The events of Grace and Glory continue where we were left stranding in Rage in Ruin. I have to say that when that end came in the second book of the trilogy, I was like… I need the next book now because how could Jen do this to us? She can’t leave us hanging like that.
Of course, Jen knows how to keep us hooked and from the first pages of Grace and Glory, I had trouble letting go of my book.
Honestly, I feel like this book gave us a lot of answers to some of the questions we have been wondering and quite a few times, I was surprised when something was revealed because my brain hadn’t anticipated them.
Trinity in this book is still a kickass heroine. I really felt like she was more in charge of her actions even if she had never really been one to just bow down to anyone before. I just felt like she was more in tune with who she was and what she had to do.
Trinity and Zayne together were quite the team and I just love them together. I really feel like they bring the best out of each other.
I will also like to say that I really love Trinity and Cayman’s blossoming friendship in this book. Cayman has always been one of my favourite characters... he just has that something…
Old and new characters make their appearance in this book, and some will leave a long-lasting impression on you that’s for sure. Lucifer being one of them. I liked the way he was portrayed in this book.
Overall, I really loved that series and as much as there is drama and action happening in it, Jen knows just how to add perfectly timed funny moments into the mix.
So what is my final thought of this book? I LOVED IT!! You will go through a rollercoaster of emotions through this book that’s for sure. I just loved the story, the characters, etc. I just feel like it was the perfect way to wrap up Trinity and Zayne’s story.
Though can I just say how I am so sad to say goodbye to this world? I was really happy that Jen has decided to write to spin-off to the Dark Elements series and now that it’s over, I just want another one. I am sure that if one day, the inspiration comes to her, she could find a way back to this world… the possibilities are endless…
So do I recommend this series? Definitely.
La transformación y revelación de un personaje me dejo impactada y me gusto bastante.
Lo recomiendo mucho si les gustan las historias de amor, romance, un poco de acción y fantasía es muy bueno.
