Great action, nice mystery and plot. Alien heros sound rather nice.
Where it lost 2 stars for me was the sex scenes with a cat. And the mating rack thing so he didnt dig his claws into her. Weird.
Then she gets pregnant with a kitten. Now I am no genetic scientist but I would have thought you got 50% of your dna from mother and 50% from father?
So why would you have a perfectly formed kitten? And a 3 month pregnancy? She is still a human.
Anyway, it jumped the shark for me. Which is a shame as its a very nicely written book with good plot and action and normalish sex scenes ok.
My only issue is that it was short. Not super short as it took me 7 hours to read it around life (in comparison, I like a book that takes me the whole day to read) BUT I didn't feel cheated as everything happened, unravelled and was concluded the right way so I didn't feel like I was cheated out of half a story like I do with some of the not so long books.
So yeah, 3rd series by LD that I've dived into and the second one that I'm enjoying. Hoping for more 👍
The one bit that bugged me was when she, the heroine, said 'I'm not a criminal' when she heard that all charges were dropped against her.
Who would say that when they knew they were not guilty of anything, they might say 'Well they didn't succeed in labelling me as a criminal' or 'They failed in their attempt to label me a criminl' but never would someone who was falsely accused on hearing the charges were dropped say 'I'm not a criminal'.
Different angles on shifters, very enjoyable read..
I would have liked to have read a bit more about their life on the ship. I felt that was a little light on info but as a new series there was a lot of other set up info to give...
Overall a wonderful few hours & can't wait for the next instalment....
This book was nothing more than ok.
This is insta love... she gets onto his ship and within 10 mins they mate, which involves her having sex with a panther.
Then bam, 3 seconds later she is having a baby.. however she gives birth to a panther cub. This was to weird for me.
