There's only two good books about gout. This is one of them. You got to read it a few times. But there's definately new stuff in here for me. explaining how Vit C is removing iron was a key for me. if you had severe bed ridden I almost want to kill myself pain, AND tophi, AND you aren't willing to change your diet for real, for the long term, as in years , and stop drinking, period. After all this. Your gout probably wont go away by reading this. Gout treatment is about diet .And theres technical medical explanations in here. Written in laymans terms. I was beyond that point already so this stuff was like icing on a cake.

This is a good book for gout suffering people. Although there are some new ideas behind the cause of gout there is also some reinforcement of some of the old adages -ie don't drink alcohol, avoid red meat. But it is interesting in presenting a case of how different thinking from research shows that perhaps a different diet will work. I'm going to give it a try.
