Product Description

Armageddon only happens once, you know. They don’t let you go around again until you get it right.”

According to the Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch – the world’s only totally reliable guide to the future, written in 1655, before she exploded – the world will end on a Saturday. Next Saturday, in fact. Just after tea…

People have been predicting the end of the world almost from its very beginning, so it’s only natural to be sceptical when a new date is set for Judgement Day. This time though, the armies of Good and Evil really do appear to be massing. The four Bikers of the Apocalypse are hitting the road. But both the angels and demons – well, one fast-living demon and a somewhat fussy angel – would quite like the Rapture not to happen.
And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist…

If you haven't heard of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman then welcome to earth! Either you are Not From Here or you have only just been released from a secluded monastery of the more austere sort. In either case you are in for both a treat and a rude awakening! If the world hasn't ended before you devour this deceptively amusing novel, you will be thoroughly entertained on your first read, then drawn back for another go to try and see where it was that the lads managed to get you thinking about Serious Things whilst you were distracted by the roller-coaster ride of clever plotting and amusing characters. Read this book! If it isn't good for your soul (this is debatable) it is definitely good for the rest of you.

Read this book about once every eighteen months or so. Am a fan of both authors, came to disc world first, the premise of the book is that the son of the devil will get to decide Armageddon. Two angels, one from heaven, one from 'the other place' actually begin to form some sort of relationship over the 6000or so years they have carried out their bosses requests. Things get a bit shall we say complicated when the devils span isn't where he I meant to be and some rather unusual things begin to happen. The respective Angels must work it out before the world ends.
Absolutely great read. Los to laugh at, snicker at or just smile at. Loved it

Don't shoot me, but I found this a bit boring and convoluted. Maybe I wasn't in the right frame of mind for Pratchett & Gaiman nonsense prose. I'm going to wait a while and try to read it again. I'm assured by everyone in my family that it's hilarious and a must read. That's the best I can do for a review at this stage.

If you love this book, please feel free to let me know what I'm missing.

An interesting story - humorous, Monty-Python-esque, witty. Becomes a little too self-absorbing in the middle, but a good finish. Some great insights and memorable characters - the combination of both Crowley and Aziraphale are the key to this story. The story grows on the reader as it progresses.

A classic by two great authors who have combined to write for the first and only time. Comic fantasy at its best with interesting charactors and a wonderful story.

A brillant piece of satire. It's fast paced, it's funny and clever and overall a great piece of literature. Gaiman and Pratchett couldn't be better collaborators.

Great Laughs - and if you need visuals of good and bad Crowely and Castiel from Supernatural work a treat. Cannot say enough good things about this book.
