What does a shipwreck gold doubloon have to do with the murder of a seemingly ordinary insurance salesman?
Famous treasure hunter, Captain Finn, with his sidekick, Phillida Jane Trent, find themselves in danger as they search for answers.
It’s not unexpected that a gold doubloon would be found in the waters off the east coast of Florida. After all, a whole fleet of Spanish galleons wrecked there in 1715, with cargoes of gold, silver and jewels. What is surprising, is the way in which the coin is found.
The local police turn to Finn for his expertise and, before you know it, he and Finn are in the thick of the investigation, and in danger.
"The Gold Doubloon Mystery" is a standalone book, however these short stories may be best enjoyed when read in order. This is number three of the "Captain Finn Treasure Mysteries" series of short reads.

About the Author
Liz Dodwell was told so many times that she really knew how to spin a yarn, she finally decided to put that talent to good use. Taking inspiration from her good friend and real-life treasure hunter, Captain Carl Fismer, she created the Captain Finn Treasure Mystery series. For several years Liz worked with the Captain, operating his website and arranging talks and treasure exhibitions. "I would dive when I got the chance, but only on a hookah," she says. "I never found anything of real importance, but just knowing I was getting even a microscopic glimpse of history and adventure was truly exciting." Fueled by an occasional cup of grog, Liz writes from the home she shares with husband Alex and a crew of rescued dogs and cats. For a change of pace she pens stories in cozy mystery and romantic suspense. For relaxation she likes to yodel. (Just kidding)
