Five Stars: Readers' Favorite Review

"The shift in points of view is brilliant, and the author always leaves the reader at the end of each chapter wondering what will happen next; she always leaves the reader with a burning question in mind, which compels them to read further."

"Going Gone! is a page-turner, a story with well-developed literary elements, but the suspense was biting -- all the time."

"Readers will find themselves engaged in the story from the opening paragraphs and, as the clock quickly ticks down, will urge the team on to a conclusion that will leave them cheering!"

"One of those books that grabbed me from the very first page and refused to release me until I finished the whole book."

"Going Gone! by Anita Dickason is the best political thriller I have read in a long while. I was on the edge of my seat as I read and became involved in the case. I cannot say enough good things about this book. It is so well written, containing fantastic dialog, amazing characters, and an incredible plot that it is a must-read. Anita Dickason has quickly jumped onto my favorite authors list and I cannot wait to read more of her books."

BookViral Review

"A tight and convincing noir thriller that would transition well to wider mediums, Going Gone is a step change from Dickason's Sentinels Of The Night and commendably stronger for it."

"Fast-paced, the supernatural elements are pared-back with the focus on dense realism but her fans will be pleased to see there's no diminution in the quality of Dickason's prose or the excitement she generates."

"The plot is expertly handled and the writing is vivid and energetic with events unfolding in tightly focused chapters that take us to the crux of Dickason's narrative and here again, she excels at ratcheting up the tension and developing well-nuanced characters."

"The ex-homicide detective turned private investigator Kerry Branson proves an authentic and intelligent lead whilst well -wrought dialogue brings a cutting edge to her relationship with Ryan Barr and together they work as a model for implacable storytelling."

"Given her background, it's not surprising that Dickason is a detail writer and she confidently brings the procedural elements of her story to life whilst tossing us the occasional red herring as she lures us towards a slick denouement."

5.0 out of 5 stars: Edgy and... intelligent (Posted on Amazon.UK)

The stand out elements for Going Gone and indeed Sentinels Of The Night is Anita Dickson's ability to bring her characters to life. I love Ryan Barr as a character and could see an entire series built just around him. If I was to sum writing and story up by making a comparison I would say elements of James Patterson but edgier and far more intelligent. I think the series will do really well.

5.0 out of 5 stars: excellent series (Posted on Amazon UK)

I read the first novel in this series and thoroughly enjoyed but this one is actually my favorite. It is hard to pinpoint why as both books are so good but I found on balance that Going Gone took the edge on pacing and suspense. I read it over two days which is rare and manage to avoid everything else until I had finished it. I love the concept behind the series, the characters are strong and the writing very good. Looking forward to the next release.

An intricate scheme to abduct the children of the most powerful politicians on Capitol Hill gets disrupted when Kerry Branson, ex-homicide detective turned private investigator, inadvertently rescues one of the victims on a fog-laden backroad in the Piney Woods of East Texas.

When Kerry discovers the six-year-old boy is the son of a U.S. Senator kidnapped from his Austin home, her call to the FBI is just the beginning of her problems. Pursued by a ruthless band of mercenaries who seem to know her every move, Kerry is forced into an uneasy alliance with the agent assigned to the case, FBI Tracker Ryan Barr.

As the abductions continue, their search for the children will pit Kerry and Ryan against a formidable adversary who uses his wealth and political power to cloak a psychopathic obsession. His manipulation extends deep into the government even to the Office of the President.

A horrific plan slowly emerges—one that has drug cartels and terrorist groups lined up to cash in.
