The visuals (4k HDR) are outstanding.
On default GamePlay can be a bit challenging, until you learn to "Block" properly and settle in.
In some aspects is similar to Uncharted and Tomb Raider, however it is less clunky (jumping\climbing) and much better fighting. Also has puzzle challenges to solve, weapon upgrades ect..
Found the initial start a little slow, but it really helps the story-line which is engaging for a game.
Start \ Load times are also good, so not a lot of waiting to play.
As soon as you start the game it grips you into its epic tale of a man(god) coping with loss and how he has to fulfil his wife’s last wish.
The gameplay itself stays at solid 30fps at 1440p upscale to 4K. Or you can run the game at 1080p with an unlocked frame rate(45-50 FPS).
The combat has been completely changed from the previous iterations of god war. You now have to use the bumper buttons instead of the face buttons so, your thumb never moves of the right stick during a battle, which allows for a more controlled battle.
TLDR; good game, good graphics, good story. Buy it!
