This is my second Goal Zero Panel. After returning the first one due to the light indicator only reaching 1 light, I received a replacement. In full sun, the light indicator reached 3 lights so I thought the first one was just a defective product initially. After a recent motorcycle trip through Europe, by day 2 the same problem occurred. In direct sun, I could not get more than 1 blinking light. Secondly, the plastic bit holding the wires in the solar panel came unhinged. I literally had this product for 4 days and even though it claims it is durable, it is not. I've had 3 other solar chargers (2 of them smaller wattage) and all 3 worked better than this product. I originally switched from Ankar 21w due to Goal Zero's claim of durability and weather resistance. I will not buy this product again and suggest you do the same.

Compared to the Nomad 20 this is not worth it.

It puts in maybe a watt or two more in perfect conditions. But generally puts out about the same as a Nomad 20.

The construction is not as high quality as Nomad 20.
The new design is really bad.

The back side that holds the cables broke off and everything was hanging by the copper cables.

I had to glue it back in place.

For the money it is not worth it as you get inferior quality and about the same Watts.

Better go buy the Nomad 20

Looked like a good device for a week or so and then it just stopped working. There aren't many parts to it so it's almost certainly faulty.

To date my support request has gone unanswered.

Update - my support request was eventually answered. For Canadian customers they seem to just ask you to return it to Amazon. It was successfully returned and refunded but I won’t be buying from this company again.
