This anthology is a mix of short fiction, longer fiction, poetry, and a couple of non-fiction pieces, all around the theme of light. Several are fantasy stories, and each of the authors to an excellent job of condensing a lot of world building and plot into a small space.

I’m normally a fiction reader I do have to say I liked the two non-fiction pieces best, especially the final piece from Jo-Anne Berthelsen. I also surprised myself by liking one of the short poems! It’s a varied and enjoyable selection, and I’m sure everyone will find something to like.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for short bursts of inspiration 31 March 2016
By Janet K. Brown - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
What a delightful book of short stories and poems! I bought the book because of my acquaintance with one of the authors, Jeanette O'Hagan, but I was pleasantly surprised by the content. Many stories kept me glued to the page. Fantasy and unusual touches highlighted many of the tales. The first story came from the viewpoint of a horse. O'Hagan wrote a story of a young girl, going through the loss of her father and the betrayal of all she knew, who then lets herself fall into the arms of God (seagulls) and learns to trust. A sweet poem about God's woolen blanket, a prayer, a mystical kingdom. "Glimpses of Light" includes it all. Great book that you can pick up and read a short piece for inspiration.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it! 6 January 2016

I may be biased, as one of the authors of this amazing anthology, but leaving my contribution aside, I am blessed and humbled to be counted among the other authors of this work. The stories, poems and non-fiction works have left an impression on me and I find myself continually thinking about them and the sweet reminders and lessons they teach.

I definitely recommend it to you. It's an easy, quick read that will leave you feeling inspired to take on the challenges and obstacles of life.
