When flight attendant Sinead Kennealy meets CEO Gabriel Anderson on a flight from Melbourne to London, there is an immediate connection between them. A tropical storm obligates the pilot to deviate from his normal road and make an unexpected stop in Singapore where Sinead and Gabriel find themselves locked up in the same hotel room in a quirky twist of destiny. But, Sinead has a turbulent past and Gabriel is keeping secrets making both of them doubt that they can be together. Will they be able to overcome their fears to give a possible long-term relationship a chance?

Cassandra O’Leary’s debut novel is witty and funny but also with characters that have depth. I really enjoyed reading about Sinead and Gabriel. They were well-thought characters with an interesting background and history. The author writing in both POV was clever. She handled these switch of POVs in a smooth way that either helped to move the story forward or showing the same scene from the perspective of the hero and the heroine helping to understand better their actions. Getting to know these two characters, I thought they would be perfect together. But, the author throws at them many challenges they have to overcome which keeps their relationship interesting for the reader.

I liked that the author didn’t give all the information about the background of the characters all at once, especially concerning the hero. Some of his secrets were revealed only towards the end of the book and that kept me hooked and wanting to read on.

The author also writes great sexy and lovely sweet scenes making the reader fall in love with this couple.

Girl on a Plane makes the reader travel from Melbourne to London passing by Singapore, Paris and Thailand. A great novel which is both fun and relaxing.

Little did I know when I began reading Girl on a Plane, that I’d be whisked away on a sexy, humorous, fun-filled journey. From the moment flight attendant Sinead Kennealy hit the page, I loved her. She was ironic, smart and sexy. She has a sense of humour with which she approaches everything in life. That includes the snarky Mr Hot Stuff in First Class, while on a flight to London via Dubai.
CEO Gabriel Anderson is tummy flutteringly handsome – sparkling blue eyes, dark blonde hair and kissable lips. Who wouldn’t fall in lust at first sight?
Cassandra O’Leary has captured the sex and sizzle between these two perfectly. As soon as they met I wanted to see them together. I knew they’d be perfect – they just had to figure it out for themselves! And, of course, there were so many factors at work to keep them apart.
I won’t tell you anymore. You’ll have to read this story. What I will tell you is that you won’t regret it.
A fabulous read not to be missed.

While I don't read a lot of romance, I think Cassie has handled the genre with skill and flare. Girl on a Plane possesses all the essentials that fans of sexy fiction have come to anticipate without compromising a plot. The challenges that Sinead and Gabriel face are realistic and the pacing is excellent: tension builds and ebbs with plenty of steam in between to keep readers entertained. I thought that some scenes were undermined by the characters' raging libidos but overall I think that Cassie has delivered a seamless debut novel that showcases a very competent handling of the genre. As a writer, Cassie sparkles and I think her serendipitous use of language sets her apart as a vibrant and unique contributer to the world of romance. Well done, Cassie!

This is not my usual 'read' but I enjoyed this book immensely, despite some over-the-top twists in the plot. The author showed great skill in showing the same scene alternately from the POV of the hero and the heroine. She also managed to ramp up the sexual tension in convincing and often imaginative ways. I enjoyed the way she conveyed the continual dilemmas of a world where we no longer marry the boy next door but fall for someone whose home and family is on the other side of the world. And I enjoyed the way the author sneaked in the Australian penchant for giving everything and everyone an affectionate nickname, including 'Irish' for the heroine. A great start for a debut novelist and I look forward to her next book.

The book description intrigued me, with the Irish flight attendant and the first class passenger...heading for more than a little turbulence. With more than a little steam, there's still plenty of story to satisfy - both Gabriel and Sinead are surprisingly complex characters, with pasts they can't escape.
I love the Aussie/Irish dichotomy going on in this book. Definitely a fun, light read - perfect for a flight...as long as you're not afraid of a little turbulence!

Girl on a Plane is a a funny, sexy and deeply emotionally satisfying read.
The reader's attention is captured from the fist sentence and taken on a delightful journey in the company of the engaging and relatable characters as they navigate family dynamics, jet set lifestyles and relationship highs and lows to discovering they are perfect for each other.
This is a fantastic read and I eagerly look forward to Cassandra O Leary 's next release. Bridie
