The saw has bags of power, cuts well with a good chain and the motor has run faultlessly, starting the first or second pull. Fuel consumption is high but probably expected from a 92cc motor running at full throttle.
The supplied chain is rubbish, was poorly sharpened as supplied and loses sharpness quickly.
Sharpening this chain improved cutting but I also bought a quality chain locally which cuts better and keeps sharp longer.
The build quality of some of the details is poor.
The chain drive sprocket came off the drive shaft almost immediately when the retaining E clip disintegrated.
A trip to the local garage secured a quality replacement which has lasted since.
The chain tension adjuster is cheap plastic and failed within an hour of use.
I was forced to return to using the old fashioned method of hooking the bar hole over a screw and tightening the bar retaining bolts whilst pulling the chainsaw handle to tension the chain.
The starter mechanism is strange using a spring to store energy from the start pull, then releasing the energy at once at the end of the pull. Has worked great so far but always feels on the verge of breaking. The conventional direct pull start would be more robust.
Overall this chainsaw was brilliant value for my use, but don't buy unless you feel comfortable dealing with multiple typical cheap build quality failures.
Have to buy a replacement chain already.
Secondly Does not start as easily after a few days.
Requires elbow grease!
States easy start as a feature but don’t know what that means as definitely not easy start!
