Product description

Product Description

Reluctant psychic Katrina Parker always suspected her love of tacos would one day get her into trouble. She just always believed it would come in the form of tight jeans, not a decapitated head and the quiet ghost attached to it.

Agreeing to lend a hand to the severed head, Kat discovers that the problems of lugging a head all over town, crashing a wake, and keeping it hidden from hunky detective Damian Johnson all pale in comparison to having to deal with the constant smell issue.

Each misstep brings her closer to an answer, yet even closer to danger. And with her friends and family now in the line of fire, Kat must keep all her wits about her or risk losing her own head.

5.0 out of 5 stars Murder, Ghosts, Humor, a Turtle, & Tacos! What More Could You Ask For! 14 February 2015

This is book 3 in a really great series! It has humor, action, mystery, & a paranormal twist! Can't ask for more. The main character, Kat, has a vampire (who is nothing like the stereotypical vampire - think blonde surfer dude) & a turtle (who has the personality of the usual cat or dog) as roommates. The part where Snappy (the turtle) is burrowed inside a burrito/taco is hysterical. Kat can hear & see ghosts. When a friend of hers finds a headless corpse outside is taco restaurant Kat becomes involved trying to find the murderer. As the ghost is "tethered" to its head Kat ends up doing all her sleuthing carrying it around in a bowling ball bag! How she keeps the head from smelling is absolutely side-splitting! This was one of those books that I could not put down once I downloaded it & was so sad to have end as now I have to wait for book 4. I absolutely recommend this entire series to all. (Btw, am am sitting here chowing down on tacos as I write this review! Once you read it you'll know why!)
4.0 out of 5 stars another dead body and another physic crime to solve!!! 17 February 2017

as kat becomes more familiar with her power to talk to the dead, she gets in another scrap with a dead body. the usual gang of her friend helen the bombshell, jonny her vampire roomy, nat the no-neck "car borrower" and of course Damian the hunky cop, help her and other of the crazy characters achieve a successful end.
it would be nice to see a bit less silly chaos in this series and the some of the women are written in a sort of flighty way but all in all they are fun books.
5.0 out of 5 stars You really must read this series- vampires, giants and ghosts! What more can you ask for!!! 10 August 2015

Kat realizes her life has changed since she came back from Vegas. She has very little memory of what happened while there - except that she knows she was married and was truly happy and loved by him. The situations and series of hilarious events were so funny that I woke up my husband by laughing out loud. While reading the series, I kept thinking I want to read more of "her" books. SHOCKER..K.L. Phelps is a man!! You must read the series from beginning to end.
4.0 out of 5 stars Yet another hit... 21 April 2015

The first one in this series made me ask, "Am I REALLY enjoying this or is this just absent minded reading?!"
At the end of the first one, I had my Awnser, I was truly and completely enjoying these characters.
Yes, the story line may drag a bit, every once in a blue moon, but, the plot, action, and comedic interludes are spot on.
It's going to be a bumpy read if Jonny or Kat are driving!
5.0 out of 5 stars So funny I almost laughed my head off 29 November 2015

Probably the funniest so far in the series. There's the usual cast of characters plus, we learn quite a bit more about several of them. While I think a reader would find this book funny on its own, it will be better if read in order. Otherwise, the fact that triple-N "borrows" cars won't be quite as funny.
