I loved the older gentlemen and young debutante storyline. There are not enough of these types storylines. But they are true to the Era.
Lady Jessica Westfall is the youngest daughter of the Nicholas the Duke of Stapleton. She is 18 years old and has left her first London season and return to there country home. Jessica is tired of being pursued by fortune hunters. She has a very large dowry.
Gideon Whitfield is a 35 year old wealthy gentlemen. His is good friends with the Duke of Stapleton. He has know Jessica since she was born. The two have had an very close friendship with each other. Gideon has watched Jessica grow into a beautiful women.
They soon realize there long term attachment to each other has grown into more. Love in a very romantic and sexual way.
I really loved Jessica she is smart, kind and determine to have Gideon as her husband. She is relentless in her pursuit of him.
The only think I didn't like was I think Gideon's house was way to small. Four bedrooms are just to small for a man of wealth with a staff.
This is a very good story and extremely romantic.
