The Gentlemen Sinner is a fantastic book, full of raw emotion, love, dark elements, family screwups, violence and trust.
Izzy our heroine is a fighter with a pretty horrible secret, I love her, like me she is a nurse and cares so much about her patients, she is kind, and even when her life is in risk, nothing stops her to fight to help others.
Theo Kane lord help us, what an alpha man, he is a super duper bad# he has so many problems of his own, but once he sees Izzy his world turns and he can’t stop thinking about her, the chemistry is so strong that she can even touch him, and that is surreal for him.
Those two make the word love another meaning.
This book deserves so many stars, not just five, and I never read a book from Jodi that I could say a bad thing.
Bring it on the next one!
All the stars!!!

Rescue for her and the girl comes from by a mountain of a man call Theo Kane. Perhaps he is a super hero. This beginning commences an almost incredulous long story with episodes of violence, pain, sadness and guilt; along with moments of madness, lust, sex, pleasure and love.
Theo takes Izzy back to his mansion, even though she is adamant and argues strongly with him that the injured girl should be taken to a hospital. She is not scared of Theo but she bends to his will and offers emergency aid to the girl.
Theo is huge and so is his mansion. He is independently wealthy. He wants to takes Izzy out for dinner but she refuses. And when she goes on holiday with her friend Jess, Theo follows her to California. Clearly he is enchanted with her and can't keep away.
This story will keep your interest. But perhaps some of the issues detailed will remind you in parts of other high profile books you have read.
Izzy, a nurse, is on her way home one night when she hears a cry for help coming from a dark alleyway. Rushing to help she soon becomes as helpless as the prostitute she was trying to save when suddenly, as if from nowhere, Theo Kane, the Gentleman Sinner of the title appears like a knight charging to the rescue and so this love story begins.
I enjoyed this book but I didn’t love it. Izzy has a secret which, without trying to make light of or minimise in any way what she’s supposed to have been through, wasn’t nearly as bad as I felt was implied in the story. Theo also comes with his own issues which leaves him demanding complete control in every aspect of his life. Everyone one feared him, even his own staff who respected him in equal measure. The reason for this excessive behaviour wasn’t explained until the end of the book with only a couple of chapters to go. In reality Izzy should have run a mile away from rather than to Theo. For me the best part of the book are the characters of Jess, Izzy’s best friend and fellow nurse and Callum, Theo’s friend/driver/bodyguard. Now there’s a match made in hell and I, for one, would love to see them eventually have their own book.
I also enjoyed the weird chemistry between Callum and Jess and hope that maybe that's another story waiting to happen . . .
So, yes I enjoyed the book, but for some reason I didn't quite love Theo Kane as much as I totally loved Jesse Ward and Miller Hart. And this is why I have only given 4 stars. I would however have given 4.5 if that were possible.
SPOILER ALERT: The scene near the end of the book when Theo is taken to hospital: OMG. It was heartbreaking and beautifully written.
