5.0 out of 5 stars Short Sweet & Hot 1 May 2014

Finn Halliday has fallen hard for a pretty redhead, that he's seen in town at a citified western wear store.
Laci is looking for Mr. Right, but seems to find only Mr. Wrongs. She dreams of meeting a real cowboy.

Finn can't forget Laci, and he's determined to meet her. He puts a plan together and goes into town to not only met Laci, but to date her.
The fun starts as Finn proposes that he can help Laci sell more clothes by offering his services as a model in exchange for dinner.
This is a quick read and should not be missed. Randi Alexander never fails to deliver interesting characters and great romance.

Finn, a wrangler at a ranch 4 hours from Denver, saw Laci-a hot curvy redhead at a clothing boutique when visiting downtown Denver for business. He's been back several times on several months trying to ask Lacy out, but she refuses. This time he arrives all candied up in a suit and tie borrowed from his ranch manager. He's determined to get Lacy to go out with him, and things heat up quickly. Short story with great characters.

A sassy upbeat read that was just the perfect length for a cowboy and the woman he has set his sights on. I read this quite some time back and it still sticks with me as one of those, "aw, shucks" stories. It definitely made me want to read more stories by the author.
4.0 out of 5 stars quick read 6 October 2014

For a book that takes less than 30 minutes to read, it was packed with hotness and humor. Finn was a cowboy on a ranch and had passed through Denver a few times and saw Laci in her shop. Knowing he wanted her because he just couldn't forget her smile and boots, he came up with a plan. He would show up dressed as a gentleman and see if he could talk her into a date.
Laci never dated the men who shopped in her clothing store, they were wannabe cowboys and she wanted the real thing. When Finn walked in with a suit jacket and tie, she figured this was going to be yet another event that will lead to disappointment. She turned down his offer to work in the store claiming she could barely afford her salary so Finn came up with a new plan.
The plan put him back in his element, boots, jeans and that sexy broad chest from working on the ranch. That was enough to send Laci over the edge and demand her right to mount and ride.
I would say if you have a few minutes for lunch and need a pick me up this would be a great book. With the limited amount of words and time, she did a great job in bringing Laci and Finn to life and making me smile and giggle at his comments. When I got this book off of Amazon it was free so you might want to hurry and grab your copy.

I really enjoyed this story though it was shorter than I would have liked. It was well written and fun to read. I liked the interaction between the characters. As well as the shyness of the male character. Though it is a short story you develop a quick love for the characters as well as an attachment to them. I really wish this story was a novel instead of a short novella.
