If held vertically, the bottom of the screen, is a lot brighter than the top of the screen. And if horizontal the same thing. And if you want to see it brighter you have to hold it at just the right angle. It seems it has one ideal viewing angle, and that isn't flat on a desk, or at the wrong angle on a desk. If you gently rock it up and down, it goes light dark light dark etc.
If it were my desktop computer, I would assume my graphics card wasn't working and I was using onboard graphics. I don't expect this quality in 2021.
It is no where near as vivid as my phone, nor any of my other screens. It reminds me a little of the B/W Kindle Paper White feel, but in color.
I was excited to get a new tablet. We have an A5, and that is awesome. I naturally thought the newer A7 would be as good. Sadly I was wrong.
I don't seem to be able to get black black text. Adaptive brightness is best left off. If you don't have the lights on the screen goes nearly black. One would think it would shine up better.
In summary the graphics are glary and faded - changing the brightness up/down doesn't improve anything. Vibrancy needs to be improved, but there is no vibrancy button. I don't recommend.
the software a bit so it has less features then it's more expensive tablets.
