2011 release, the fourth album from the Canadian Pop diva. Two years in the making, Lavigne worked with longtime collaborators Deryck Whibley, Evan Taubenfeld and Butch Walker, as well as songwriter/producer Max Martin. Lavigne continues to share her personal experiences through her writing and music, and Goodbye Lullaby is a further evolution of this, propelled by a more raw and organic sound.

However, I have played the album now about half a dozen times and have really enjoyed it. There feels some depth to her other songs and they are, in my opinion, definately different and progressive to her other three albums.
I particularly like "Everybody Hurts" (Not an REM cover!) - I would say this is the best song on the album. "Not Enough" is also a good thing.
Not wanting to sound a prude, she has some swearing in some of the songs, which is not my taste and I am not sure why, but it luckily doesn't impact on my enjoyment of this album.
I recieved the CD Saturday a few days before it was MEANT to be released and boy was I chuffed? It's a terrific Album and if anyone out there loves a good listen to any kinda music, give it a shot
