Product Description

Talia.
I have always been a bird. Caged by one prison or another when the only thing I ever wanted was to fly away.
Sold. Beaten. Starved. Drugged.
Nothing scares me anymore.
Until him.
He makes the numbness go away.
He is hazardous to me. It has nothing to do with his mafia lifestyle, and everything to do with what he offers.
A gilded prison.
A retreat from everything that I once knew. The reality I have no desire to return to.
He thinks he’s caged me, but soon…
I’m going to fly.

Alexei.
I live by a code. The Vory code.
In this mafiya world, there are traditions.
Expectations.
She does not care for these things. She does not care about anything.
She thinks she has me fooled with her haunted eyes.
What she can’t know is that I see her better than most.
She wants to fly.
But I’m going to clip her wings.
And make her my wife.

**This is a DARK mafia romance. A full-length standalone novel with HEA and no cheating.**

There are no words that will do justice on Ghost. A. Zaravelli has truly done an amazing job with Ghost and you won't be disappointed.
I absolutely love this book. Ghost is truly a magnificent book. Get ready and hold on to your seat for the thrilling tense ride of your life because once you start you won't able to put it down. This book is heartbreaking, gut wrenching, dark, action, tensions, anxiety and suspense. Ghost literally plays with your emotions. I was angry, hate, torn to pieces, pain, sorrow, sadness, lots of tears, love and happiness.
Alexie and Talia are broken and their hearts are damaged but can they heal each other to mend their hearts together. The chemistry between Alexie and Talia is definitely freaking steaming hot. WOW!
I highly recommend reading this book but be sure to read Crow and Reaper first to get an understanding of the Boston Underworld Series.

Ghost is a beautiful story of a Russian Mafia man, who is known as the Ghost and is a man who has faced challenges all his life, especially since he is also deaf after a childhood illness. Talia was sold into sex slavery by her 'boyfriend' Dimitri, to an arm's dealer in Bulgaria. Unbeknownst to her, her best friend Mack is searching for her which was the story of Crow, first book in this series. Ghost is known for his skills with a computer and he finds Talia and under false pretences he steals Talia away to America and marries her to keep her safe. Enemies within and from outside forces are trying to tear them apart, and test Alexei's trust. Great read, flows beautifully and both characters are flawed from past issues. If you are sensitive to certain issues this might not be for you but Zavarelli does a great job when she writes these parts.

Crow was really good, Reaper was even better...now Ghost! Is Zavarelli's newest book the best? Maybe?! It sure has impact, but it'd be hard to top Reaper. It might be wiser to say both books are must reads, if you appeciate this genre (not for everyone, though).
Naive Talia experiences a woman's worst nightmare - betrayal, then sold as a sex slave. "Trust me!" were the last words her boyfriend, Dmitri said to her. Now her dignity is lost, her power is gone, she faces physical and mental abuse daily - her only way out of this nightmare is death.
Alexei saves her from this hell and provides the opportunity for a new start (no spoiler here - this information appeared in Reaper.) To do this Alexei breaks his mafia code of conduct and puts himself at great risk. Both Alexei and Talia have troubled pasts and they've both experienced present danger, so trust is only for fools. However, Ghost takes them on a journey where each one must take a risk and learn to trust again and each one finds they need a hero/heroine in their lives.
Just like books 1 and 2, this is no lightweight read. It's raw, brutal, devastating, ugly and very dark. It is also a story of hope, great love, tenderness, strength, sacrifice, trust and loyalty. Zavarelli's plot is mostly captivating and well-thought-out, but complex (making it oh so interesting). The characters are well-developed and totally engaging and we readers are treated to both their backstories and their present circumstances. The pacing is good and the imagery is powerful.
I suggest that the books are read in order, so you can appreciate the overall scenario.
Although it didn't affect the narrative, I think the climax scenes of two of the three main antagonists were a little rushed and I would've appreciated more details and tied ends.

Nearly two days later and I am still nursing a massive book hangover from GHOST by the uber talented A Zavarelli!! This is my first book by Ms. Zavarelli and I CRAVE more of her highly addictive, mind blowing, goosebumps inducing, and explosively charged writing!!! This story about two broken individuals finding solace in each other was beautiful yet heartbreaking at the same time. My heart literally ACHED (I lost count of the amount of times I had to physically rub at the ache in my chest whilst reading!!!!) and also SOARED for Alexei and Talia's journey together. Ms. Zavarelli weaved an amazingly raw, gritty and unpredictable story filled with page turning goodness, which kept me at the edge of my seat! This book was P-E-R-F-E-C-T in every single way and is one of my favourite dark reads this year!!! 10+ Solnyshko stars!!!!

Loved this book, and whilst I was not a fan of the others in this series, I'm glad I bought it! Could not put this book down and although I felt it was a little rushed at the end, it is my new all time favourite. This is a dark romance and does shy away from brutality and this makes it all the more worthwhile. Two broken souls who were made for each other. Hoping there will be a story between Nickolai and Tanaka!!

I've have been DYING to know what happened to Talia; I finally have my answers! Alexei and Talia's story is amazing. It is heartbreaking and frustrating and sad but I'm really happy for them. I think my heart stopped a few times whilst reading this! I love this series; I can honestly say it's one of the rare few that I enjoy re-reading; I love how the stories interconnect. Also - as hot as Alexei is, my heart still belongs to Ronan...
