Besides being a writer, JB Lynn is a compulsive reader, a runner (of sorts), an enthusiastic cook (who doesn't get the appeal of the Food Network), and someone who has an irresistible urge to eavesdrop at all times.
JB has a great love of her husband, dogs, coffee, purple ink, spiral notebooks, running gear, hot showers, and '80s music. Given enough time, all of these things will eventually show up in her books.

Just LOVE this series. Characters are well rounded and the mystery is great, but so very funny to go with it! I love this series because it feels like going back to a place where I know and love all the people(and animals!) there.
These books definitely have their problems (looots of stigmatising mental illness stuff, some "he didn't know she was beautiful until he told her" stuff), but they are seriously enjoyable.
Was pleasantly surprised as I didn't really know what to expect but it is a thoroughly enjoyable, quirky read. It won't challenge your intellect any but for a quick, fun read you can't go wrong. I've already bought the next one ready for when I need to escape from the daily grind. I'm not one for sci-fi or fantasy but there's something about talking animals that I just love - don't know why but the sarky anole makes this worth reading. Enjoy!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this and the other Neurotic Hitwoman books I've read so far. Excellent writing and not dissimilar to the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich. Strong, funny, eccentric female characters, some improbable situations, a couple of gentle love interests amongst some stereotypically ghastly males and happy endings had me laughing until tears ran down my cheeks. I recommend this series.
Keeping up the pace of 'Confessions of a Slightly Neurotic Hitwoman' JB Lynn brings weddings, Bridezilla, and family secrets into the mix of gangsters, killers, and talking pets. Bring on the next episode please...

Not as good as the first one but still enjoyable. My main criticism is that it keeps referring back to the first book. Whilst I understand that a recap may be necessary, it went on until chapter 7 and got a it tedious at times.
