Product Description

What would you do if you one day woke up with a paranormal ability? What if it was the result of a head injury? Would you wonder about your sanity?

Singing at weddings, parties, holiday events and street fairs with her band are all just another gig for Gillian Foster, a dog groomer by day and a for-hire musician/singer whenever an opportunity arises. A fall on the ice after a wedding lands her in the hospital with a concussion, but nothing more serious, her doctor tells her. Except she begins having odd dreams in a garden-like setting that puzzle her.

While Gillian is surprised to be asked to sing at a funeral, she accepts the job. As she sings, she is spiritually transported to an ethereal graveyard where she finds a confused spirit who needs guidance. She can speak with the man and can even guide him to the next level.

Confused and frightened by this event, she turns to her best friend Janna, who is a psychic believer, for support and advice. Add in more peculiar dreams and another troubling funeral and Gillian begins to question her sanity as well as her health.

But this odd ability can also lead her to more trouble than she could have imagined as one of her spirit clients demands her assistance in locating the person who killed her. Even worse, Gillian draws the interest of a sheriff’s detective, who thinks she may be connected to the case. Can she find the killer without getting herself into deep trouble?

“Funeral Singer: A Song for Marielle” is a paranormal suspense with a touch of romance. It is the first book in a series of spirit mysteries.

About the Author

A sometimes musician, sporadic artist, occasional poet, and obsessed writer, Lillian Wolfe has spent most of her life writing something or the other. From fan fiction to short stories, novels, training manuals, newsletters, and other documentation, she has constantly been putting words on paper or a computer screen. She is, in fact, extremely grateful for the invention of the computer because using a manual typewriter is tedious. She loves all types of fiction, but her favorites are fantasy and mystery novels. "Funeral Singer - A Song for Marielle" is her first published novel and is part of a planned series of books following Gillian Foster and her unusual talent to see dead people. Lillian shares her home in northern Nevada with her best friend for the past thirty-odd years, four lovingly-superior cats, and one feline-dominated dog. She is a member of the High Sierra Writers Group and the Fiction Writers Group.
