I was afraid to go back to an APS-C sensor with a brand I didnt know, but I am so glad that I did. Amazing camera, amazing manual controls and amazingly small without being too small. Highly recommended.
Primarily because of the EVF. That was enough for me to acquire an additional camera. The rather large EVF is outstanding. Especially for an eyeglass wearer like myself. To have immediate access to all camera controls coupled with this large viewfinder makes it so enjoyable, for me, to use this camera. Perhaps you could argue I have gear acquisition syndrome to an extent, or perhaps because I had a little extra money to burn that day, but I just had to have another 'x100t' with a 56mm f1.2 lens and that rather 'large' viewfinder.
At my age now, as a senior, I welcome the lighter weight of this camera, with its interchangeable lenses, it's retro look that reminds me so much of the well built cameras of my day, it's 'exposure triangle' dials so easily accessible instead of having to drill down thru camera menus, and, that beautiful large viewfinder for my older eyes (and as an eyeglass wearer). This camera frees me of the many obstacles I have been experiencing during my advancing years and makes my photography a much more pleasing experience. And that new found pleasure makes, for me, the additional expense of this camera worth it. Thanks Fuji.

Edit: this continues to be my favorite APC-S camera of all I have bought recently and will remain in my collection. I'm betting this will be a classic. But that's just my opinion. Thank you for reading. As this camera just adds to my enjoyment of photography immensely . Richard
This camera is an incredible tool. It is small. It is mirrorless and therefore doesn’t have Canon 1dx/Nikon D4 af speeds. It’s not super high resolution. If you are in to specs and fast action shooting, this is honestly not your camera. If you are in to video... No. (It will do video, but it’s not great at it. This is a photographers camera.)
However, if you shoot portraits, street, landscape, architecture, family, editorial, news or just plain love photography... this camera will serve you well. If you are nostalgic, and love the old film slr style shooting and operation... this camera will really be of interest to you.
I have shot Nikon, Sony, and Canon(a little), and this is by far the most enjoyable to shoot, in my opinion.
It produces great images in Raw and excellent Jpegs. The xtransII sensor produces the closest to film look that I have seen from any camera that I’ve used. The Fuji film simulations are great. Fuji xf lenses are second to none. Each one is sharp and built extremely well.
I want to point out one feature that I use more than I thought I would. As you may have read, this camera has wifi. That’s not the feature that I’m speaking of, but it plays into it. I’m speaking of in camera RAW conversion. You can shoot in RAW, convert to Jpeg(about two menu pages of parameters that you can utilize in creating the desired jpeg) and then transfer the image to your phone immediately. The camera will save the Jpeg and keep the Raw on the same card. You can create as many jpegs as you card has space from any RAW file or from several RAW files.
I’ve included a photo to show you what that means in practical terms. This young man proposed during a photo session. I was able to text and email them these 3 images before we walked away from the session. They could share this moment immediately with friends with quality images.
Now that’s functionality!
