Product Description

Chloe: Moses has been my best friend since kindergarten. We met when I shoved him face first in the dirt and took his action figures. Ever since, we’ve been tighter than blood, but we’re not blood, and my body knows that. My heart has known that for years.

The fact that being a pole dancer has interfered with my relationship status is an understatement. Moses is literally the longest I’ve been with a man, except I’m not really
‘with’ him.

Now I’m approaching a place where I’m curious enough to tell him about my feelings. I’ve gotten close, but a man as hot as my bestie has had really small gaps between girlfriends. I know it could be a big mistake, and he’s never seen me that way, but I won’t know for sure unless I act right? Only problem is, I might be too late again.

Moses: I’m not blind to the fact that my best friend is dangerously hot. She’s basically every man’s dream but she’s not mine. I’m the one that protects her, councils her, and encourages her, knowing she will do the same for me. She’s my girl.

But now something is different, and I can’t put a name to it. Something feels changed, but I’m putting all that on the back burner because I think I found my perfect girlfriend.

Still, Chloe is in my head; I’m not sure she would handle knowing that. After all, I’m in the friend zone…

Omg, Omg, OMG!! This book, THIS BOOK!! The Friend Zone pulls you in like gravity, but let's you float off into heaven with it's swoony words, it's real and raw characters and all the love throughout its pages. I always wondered what happened to that Moses guy that Jenzy dated in The Divorce?! He was pretty sexy and sweet, I hope he got a happily ever after. Well, this is that book!! I know, right?!

Nicole builds the best characters. Seriously, she does, and I expected nothing less and got so much more. Chloe is a little firecracker who is all woman. With her dancing and sexiness, she's a roar of fierceness, but still has that vulnerable side that softens out her edges. And Moses, Ah, Moses!! He may be a hippy loving, yoga instructor, but don't let that fool you into thinking he's not all man. Let me tell you, this man, he knows what to do!! And together, with a layer of friendship and another of love, you have a perfect little sandwich which is The Friend Zone.

Her secondary characters are to die for! Brianna, I hope we get her story because she's a hoot! Aw, and Moses dad, I have such a sweet spot for him.

I think what intrigued me the most about this book is all the love that's in it. I'm not just talking about the romantic kind either. I'm talking about the friend kind, the familial kind and the understanding kind. Nicole shows that love needs no labels and there are no limits. She shows a deep connection between her characters that feels like it's a natural progression, like it's as easy as breathing to love someone like that. Without thought, you just do.

Buy this book, read it's pages, let it touch your heart. You won't regret it, I swear!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Unexpected Love 17 April 2017

Another great read from Nicole Strycharz. This story runs parallel to The Divorce and like the previous books is not an easy read, but so worth it. Moses (who fell in love with Jenzy in The Divorce) and, his best friend, Chloe share everything and have for years; their ups, their downs, their loves, their losses, they are always there for each other - strong, supportive and loyal. One thing they have never been is attracted to each least this is what they keep telling themselves. After all, they're in the Friend Zone - once there, the chance of any kind of intimate relationship with said friend is off the table.
This has been working perfectly well until unexpected emotions start to cloud their friendship and they enter a whole new and very complicated zone. Mired in pain and angst, it seems bound to tear them apart but one, which - if they just believed in themselves - might just be the best thing that ever happened to them. Of course nothing comes easy - love is a tricky path and, despite eventually recognising what is happening - to step out of the comfortable zone they have been in for so long take a whole lot of courage.
Nicole's ability to capture the rawness of a situation is astonishing. Her characters leap off the page and demand your attention. Neither Chloe nor Moses is perfect - far from it, they are fighting what is obvious for fear they will lose what they already share in order to embrace what has been staring them in the face for longer than they care to admit. They fight, they behave badly, they forget what is important - don't we all? That's the essence of this book - shit happens, life isn't a sunny day but love in all its guises usually finds a way to bang our heads together, forcing us to see the truth, if we are prepared to take the risk.
This book is funny, poignant, harsh, honest, gritty and full of love, all kinds of love from platonic to sexual and everything in between - it weaves a tantalising thread throughout the novel, daring you to chase it through its many knots in search of that elusive HEA.

Thank you Nicole, I loved this story - an easy 5 stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another emotional ride with Nicole Strycharz. 29 October 2016

Another emotional ride with Nicole Strycharz.

I loved Chloe's rawness. The ever-strong female who barely breaks down on the outside and still clings to hope and positivity on the inside. Like any woman, she has her levels of insecurity, but she shines through them rather than complaining about it all.

The way the relationship played out with Chloe and Moses seemed to be very natural, like two people you would meet off the streets. It was great to see Moses' perspective with regards to his "dating" Jenzy from The Divorce. The man was way too patient with regards to physical "intimacy" with Jenzy (just my opinion-6months and nothing!). Plus, I saw Jenzy in a whole new light-total dick tease, but I understood who she was from The Divorce. LOL

Will Chloe's and Moses' love as friends stay that way or blossom into more? You have to read the book to find out!
5.0 out of 5 stars Being in the FRIEND ZONE sucks! <3 <3 I ADORED THIS STORY <3 <3 29 October 2016

Once again, another book by Nicole Strycharz sucks me in and never wants to let me go.

This is book two in the Relationship Quo Series but can be read as a standalone. In the first book, 'The Divorce', though that story was about Chris and Jenzy, we meet Moses and he pursues Jenzy until they finally enter a relationship. Now, in 'The Friend Zone', we meet his best friend, Chloe during the same timeline as when Moses meets Jenzy...see where this is going?

This story gripped my heart and had knots in my throat almost the entire time. What I love about Nicole's writing is that she knows how to tell a full, emotionally rich story. Just like 'The Divorce', other writers may take both concepts and leave you frustrated and perhaps with a lack of closure (it's happened to me with other writers and stories like these), and most times, by the end, I'm upset with one or both main characters, feeling like the writer didn't convince me that one deserves the other by the end. (Again, I've read books that have left me this way many times). But, nope, not Nicole! Every time I feared she would leave me without proper closure or that it'll feel rushed and not truly resolved, chapters later and the conclusion of this story for both our main characters wraps up so perfectly.

Book one and two are such uniquely told stories. I have yet to read any similar troupes pull off such quality storytelling. So much happens and by the end, you feel like you've lived a full life with these characters.

Her characters feel so real to you. Chloe is a professional dancer; a pole dancer, folks! And all the stereotypes that come with that are thrown at her. You think you know her at first glance but she's so much more. I loved Chloe's strength and independence but she was also vulnerable, loyal, hopeful, even though life hasn't always been good to her.

Then we have Moses and we see so much more of who he really is and his point of view of things during his time with Jenzy, from 'The Divorce'. If you've read 'The Divorce', Nicole structured the timeline and story so perfectly. You get just enough from the previous book but so much more is new and fresh.

I don't want to give spoilers! This was one hell of an emotional journey! I cried, I laughed my butt off, especially whenever her friend, Brianna was around (who is blind, spunky, and wonderful. I loved her character!) Another amazingly engaging and full of heart, sexy, and sweet story that will suck you in! ONE CLICK THIS BABY! It's seriously SO. GOOD!
5.0 out of 5 stars Stepping away from The Friend Zone... 13 December 2016

The Friend Zone is a sexy and sweet story.. Chloe has always feel as an unwanted person... Her father took his life and shortly after her mother was gone of a broken heart... the only constant in her life has been her best friend Moses and his family... Even when she was bouncing from foster home to foster home they were always the familiar faces in her life... now as adults Chloe has become an Exotic Dancer.. a pole dance teacher... and she is amazing at it.. her sister from another mister Brianna has been her rock after meeting in one of the foster homes she was in.. Brianna became blind throughout the years but that doesn't stop her from being sexy and quirky!! Moses has a new love in his life.. he has met Jenzy and even though her life is complicated with The Divorce right now he is willing to stand by... but how has he been resisting his BFF Chloe.. why have they kept each other in The Friend Zone for so long when they both just want to rip each others clothes and make sweet love!!??

Where to begin.. in this book I was ready to smack some sense into Moses... he has this beautiful, amazing and gorgeous girl infront of him and he just doesn't see it!! Chloe wears her heart on her sleeve and Moses has been her everything for a really long time....

I loved this book from begining to end... I could not put it down.. and I am truly hoping that the author chooses to write Brianna her own story because she totally deserves it!!

This book is part of a series and I recommend you read book one The Divorce for additional details!
