Another winner!Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 March 2020
Ben Rehder has a wonderful style of writing and I just love the sense of humour. As soon as I finish reading a Blanco County book I have withdrawal symptoms waiting for the next. Once again this is the case. I will not write spoilers but, as usual, the storyline is brilliant, and the exploits of Red and Billy-Don as entertaining as always, together with the work of John Marlin. I have decided to re-read the complete series once again which may help until the next book is released.
I need another one STAT!!Reviewed in the United States on 30 March 2020
The trouble with Ben Rehder's Blanco County series is that I can't put them down and, therefore, finish them too fast - damn. With this one, however, i'm going to read it again right away cause there were lots of twists and turns. I can never wait to see what Red and Billy Don get up to next and how Marlin and Garza will deal with them and the really bad guys. THANKS, BEN REHDER. You're helping me get through the quarantine with your great deal on the kindle version.

Three stars but it was close. This book bounces from death and killing to wise cracks and humor and can’t seem to find its way. So many characters and subplots that it is impossible to follow and you don’t care. Really should be two stars, but....what the heck, it’s Rehder.

Ben at His BestReviewed in the United States on 18 April 2020
You get from the author what you have come to expect-a great ride! A ride through Blanco County Texas-a real place. Although the characters are fictional the color of the characters can be found in the rural hills of Central Texas. So put away the hi-tech stuff and put a real book into your hands and enjoy.

Thoroughly Enjoyable ReadReviewed in the United States on 26 September 2020
I enjoyed this latest book in Ben Rehder's Blanco County Mystery series. As a former resident of Blanco County, I can picture all the places the characters visit. I continue to be amused by the interactions of Red and Billie Don. Thanks for another great read, Mr. Rehder!
