Product Description

Love is the one emotion they just can't shake off.

"This story has everything. There's love, loss, desire, passion and so much warmth between Chloe and Matt. They understand each other. Their connection is fierce. Their passion is combustible...I was blown away." ~Verna Loves Books

Part One of a Three-Part Story.

Chloe McCarthy has one rule when it comes to sex: one night, no strings. But for Logan Tanner, she made an exception.

Big mistake.

When he breaks off their ongoing friends-with-benefits arrangement for someone else, reality hits her hard. She's all alone and plummeting toward rock bottom. Until she runs into the one guy who can always make her smile. Matt Langston--mechanic by day, bouncer by night, ripped-and-tattooed-hot 24/7.

Matt would know that pink-tipped platinum-blonde hair anywhere. It's Chloe, doing a half-naked walk of shame. He knows she's no saint. Then again, neither is he--but he's no douchebag either. Her slumped shoulders and tear-stained cheeks ignite his protective instincts even as his better sense warns him she's a threat to his no-drama lifestyle.

As their friendship deepens, however, mutual desire reaches the boiling point. Chloe's body hungers for Matt as a lover--but the last thing she wants is to ruin the best thing that's ever happened to her with the best sex of her life...

Warning: This romance is appropriate for age 18+ only due to strong language and sexual content.

*The Fragile Line is a spin-off to The Fine Line, told in an addictive three-part novella series, with each part building on the last. Parts One, Two, and Three must be read in order. Reading The Fine Line first is not necessary, but will provide a further introduction to the characters which may enhance the overall reading experience. The Fragile Line Series contains spoilers to The Fine Line.

Deeply moving writing. The story of how Chloe hides her true self within the image of being a"party girl" She constantly lives with feelings of emptiness and is unable to let the past go. As a reader I couldn't help feel saddened that she was travelling life's journey alone. That is until Matt came along. Will he be the one to reveal the true Chloe? Can't wait to read the next book

5.0 out of 5 stars "Fbook Me Later" 27 February 2017

This is the first part in this series and I highly recommend it! See my full review under the box set! I do highly recommend this book/series, but you should read The Fine Line first. That is a standalone or what this series is a spinoff from. If you read this series first, before the book, you will have spoilers. I'm hoping that there are more written.

Romance is not my usual genre, but I was drawn to Chole and her back story. I didn't read the first book so I didn't know how "bad" she was supposed to be. We all have our reasons for making mistakes. I immediately purchased the second installment and couldn't wait for the third!

2.0 out of 5 stars the fine line was awesome 20 August 2016

It's a well written book, the fine line was awesome. But I give this a two star because of the short length of the book. Followed by a short part three. They could have been on book. It's a money gimmic. But yes I would still recommend it but just a bit disappointed because of the short rip off.

3.0 out of 5 stars Persistence is Key 15 March 2016
By Julianne Knutson - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Chloe McCarthy had a comfortable arrangement where she was able to have sex without the pressure for more. Apparently she was too comfortable because the guy was with rejects her for someone else. Having him go to someone else brought back painful memories that had never healed. During a moment of wallowing she calls up the one person who could make her smile no matter what the circumstance.

Matt Langston has made sure to keep his distance from Chloe as far as he can, but that never stops him from thinking about her. She’s constantly on his mind when he’s working as a mechanic by day and a bouncer by night.

He thought he could have one taste and finally put her in the past. Nothing goes to plan and now he’s finding himself going future into the rabbit hole.

“The Fragile Line” was a quick read and I enjoyed the story overall. Chloe is a difficult character to connect to, but further on in the story Ms. Kobishop starts to shine some light on why Chloe does certain things.

I love Matt. He’s calm and put together so when Chloe brings havoc into his life it’s nice to see that she can ruffle his feathers from time to time. Matt’s a man who takes things a bit too seriously and needs to learn to have fun which is defiantly displayed a bit though the story.

Overall, the story was written well with the pace matching up with the plot of the story.

4.0 out of 5 stars he's commanding and he's not the man she had convinced herself she was in love with. Her attitude is downright awful and there's 4 February 2017

Title: The Fragile Lines Part 1
Author: Alicia Kobishop

4 unexpected stars

The first novel I've read by this author and I'm captivated. I had to read more and faster because I had to find out how Chloe would handle Matt, a man that she's never had to deal with before. He's different, he's commanding and he's not the man she had convinced herself she was in love with. Her attitude is downright awful and there's no doubt in my mind that she's used to getting what she wants and will stop at nothing to get it. Matt.... well Chloe's about to learn that he's not what she first thought him to be.

4 breath taking dreams stars

I must hand it to Alicia Kobishop for describing two individuals so thoroughly that I feel as strongly as I did about them. Chloe was far from my favorite person and yet finding out more about her helped in redeeming her, in understanding her better. Matt may come off as the tough guy who couldn't be bothered by the drama, but deep down, you know there's more to it. High praises on turning my opinion 180 degrees and making me believe that sometimes all you need is the perfect partner to bring out your best qualities.
