This book was ok. For a beginner who's never had formal training in Chemistry this book stinks. The explanations are sketchy at best and the subject matter jumps around way too much. Many of the example questions and explanations for problems in the back of the chapters just don't get the job done, there's just no coherency.

Like most reviewers have mentioned- I too was a victim of missing report pages at the end of the experiments. Luckily, my lab partner was kind enough to let me make copies of her book so I could complete the assignments.

Side note- Who thinks it's okay to rip pages out of a book that you've rented. What a bunch of dim bulbs.....

I rented this book so that I could copy the lab reports onto my notebook paper in order to turn it in to my professor. Much to my dismay, when I arrived in class I realized that every lab report was torn out! I could not copy let alone use the book except for the directions of each experiment. I was disappointed that someone had returned the book without the lab reports thus this book rendered to me useless.
