I liked the small town of Rambling Rose and how the large Fortune family always supported each other. There were lots of surprises in this story, including family changes and renovation issues.
This is a good start to a new series. I'd like to hear more about this family and hope they all get a HEA.

Becky and her husband moved to Rambling Rose for the small town appeal. Unfortunately, her husband was killed in a car accident shortly after they learned she was pregnant – with twins. For nearly two years Becky has independently taken care of life, held down a nursing job and devotedly cared for her twin daughters. She’s held herself apart somewhat from people in town fearing they’d look down at her as a single parent – a belief thanks to her parent’s reactions when she decided to not move home after her husband’s death. The last thing she expected was the attraction to Callum Fortune or to have him seemingly feel that same attraction as well. She’s scared to truly live again but is warming up to the idea of a future with Callum – if only he could leave his past disappointments where they belong, in his past.
Callum had a disastrous first marriage, thanks in part to his workaholic ways but also because he and his former wife were simply too different in their opinions of what is important in life. Now, he’s devoted to coming in, buying up property, renovating it and moving on to the next town… rinse, repeat. Rambling Rose is turning out differently because from the start this place feels like home, or what home could be. Single parent and nurse Becky Averill caught his attention at first glance, talking with her spiked his interest and attraction, meeting her daughters only closed the deal. Yet, Callum has no plans to stay in town or to give his heart to another woman ever again. That’s something he’s going to need to deal with as Becky, Luna, and Sasha slowly, surely grab more of his heart with every single encounter.
I loved Fortune’s Frest Start for several reasons but mostly for the real feel of economic differences between Becky and Callum as well as watching a man and woman fall when they had no intention of ever risking their hearts again. The Fortune siblings we’ve met so far have caught my attention and I cannot wait for their stories to play out. I had fun with a laugh out loud story full of emotions, conflict, adorable twins and two people who could bring so much to each other if they’d only take that risk.
I own a Kindle edition of this book.
