Product Description

Sometimes your first love is also your last.

Andrew Callaway doesn't do love — not since Amanda broke his heart and left him in a cloud of dust. Devoting himself to the family ranch, he’s determined to be the man his dad would be proud of, minus the one-night stands and stream of mistakes. Five years after watching her drive away, his first love is back. Andrew finds himself wanting more than meaningless easy conquests, a lot more.

Following her dream of becoming a chef, Amanda Watkins left Montana with a beat-up pickup truck and a broken heart. Five years after watching Andrew fade away in her rear-view mirror, she's back and is dead set on avoiding the man she still dreams about. When she's hired to cater for a Callaway celebration, sparks fly and old emotions run hot. If she thought the boy she knew was dangerous, she's about to find out that the man he became is lethal.

Blame is a dangerous game to play, but forgiveness takes courage that may just prove too difficult to reach.

4.0 out of 5 stars First Love is a forever love 20 December 2015

I've just finished this great book and I loved every second of it. Drew and Amanda's love story started when they were kids. Their families were friends so it was inevitable that Amanda would pick one of the handsome Callaway brothers. Unfortunately, life throws a curveball into their plans to spend forever together.

Amanda left Montana because she needed to find herself, but the kicker is, neither she or Drew ever stopped loving each other which of course results in different actions on both their parts. Drew being a man, goes to one extreme and Amanda to the other extreme. When Mandy has to come back to Montana, she does everything possible to avoid seeing the love of her life, but, it's taken out of her hands and they're forced to spend time together.... let the fireworks begin!!

Drew is bound and determined to get his girl back by whatever means necessary and let me tell you, he swept me right off my feet! As the pages turned and I experienced them dancing around each other and then connecting was worth the wait. And let me tell you, Drew has some serious moves, but don't discount Mandy and her insatiable sexual appetite....Wowza!!!!

There are of course some outside forces that have life changing results not only for Drew and Mandy but for the entire Callaway family. Then there's the little problem that's alluded to with Becca their baby sister. I just KNOW there's a story there and I have it on good authority, we're going to get this story...

Here's what I know, this was a well written book, I got more of Cole and Jamie, some steam up the windows sex between Drew and Mandy and I fell in love with a little girl named Lucy. I devoured this book in about 2 days so do yourself a favor and go 1-click this book.

Favorite Quotes:

There's a saying that when the Callaway men fall in love, they fall in love hard and fast. Once they give their hearts, it's forever.

When they take off their shirts, I swear the temperature climbs a few hundred degrees. And when the Thompson brothers showed up, she had the making of a hit reality show. Maybe I should start filming them.

His feelings for her were so deep that they bordered insanity, and knowing she felt the same way he did about the two of them not being together made his heart smile.

…she was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen. Not just because of how gorgeous she was on the outside, but because the beauty she had inside shone through like sun rays.

My Review:

Forgive Me was an eventful, angsty, and deliciously steamy second chance romance for former high school sweethearts, although it took fifty percent of the book for the characters to stop dancing around each other. The last half of the book was sweet and sexy, but the angst continued to reappear like a bad rash – although that is just my bias, huge servings of angst is one of my least favorite things. In between the angst and steam, I found amusing humor, observant and insightful musings, and emotive writing. While Amanda had remained celibate during their five years apart, Drew had become a sex machine. Like all the Callaway men - Drew was smokin’ hawt, multi-talented, and good with his hands, oh, and he could build stuff too ;) The last few chapters tossed in a huge twist and I adored the ending. Sigh. Despite Ms. Shepherd’s apparent love of angst, I am extremely curious to read about Abby and John, Rebecca and Josh, and Emilia and Nick as this clever author has teased and taunted me with tantalizing tidbits and intriguing hints about their pasts. I fear I am hooked.
5.0 out of 5 stars Callaway #2 30 March 2017

Drew and Amanda grew up together, his sisters best friend found her way into his heart, and then she left. Heartbroken Drew has been trying to forget Amanda, they say the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else, right? Well Drew finds out this doesn't always work. After Amanda moves back to town they eventually have to face each other, the question is whether or not they can rekindle what they lost or if the heartache of the past will consume their future.

I laughed, cried, and genuinely wanted to throttle the characters sometimes. Hindsight's 20/20 and looking from the outside in it's easy to say "just tell him/her" but when your heart is the one on the line what do you do. This book has twists, a couple turns, and quite a few bumps in the road; but I loved it and I can't wait to watch the next Callaway man find his woman.

Forgive me by Kaitlin shepherd 5 star Maribel freire

Drew and Amanda high school sweet heart, until Amanda moved away right after graduation. For Drew Amanda was and is his one true love. Every woman that drew has been with he compares to Amanda. 5 years has passed and Amanda is back in Montana after her father passes away. Now she is running the diner her father owned. Drew has been avoiding going to the diner. Amanda has been avoiding Drew. She still loves him he is her one true love. They love each other but can they let the past go, can they move forward. Can they deal with all the bumps in the road. How do you know it's meant to be? Thank you United indie book blog for allowing me to review this book.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great story 20 December 2015

I have to say I enjoyed this one a lot more than the first. I felt like the characters were better developed and also the writing was better.

Drew and Amanda were high school sweethearts and I expected there would have been a lot more animosity towards Amanda for breaking Drew's heart than there actually was. The whole family loved Amanda and welcomed her back with open arms with the exception of Becca. I have to say I love the Calloway's, the relationships they have with each other are beautiful to witness and I love how they play off one and other.

I really liked Amanda, I get why she left the way she did and I have to say my heart broke as much for her as it did for Drew.

When we are introduced to Lucy I wasn't sure how things were going to turn out but Amanda showed such grace and dignity and Drew really stepped up to the plate! I respected them both all the more for what they done.

This story was a great read, I couldn't get enough and was addicted from the start. I hope we get to hear Abby and John's story next.
