Oh my God I loved Maya, she is one kickass chick!! She's the kinda girl you want as your best friend, the all-in-full-steam-ahead-take-no-prisoners with everything she does girl. Even having an injury like she has does not slow her down!!
(I would love to know where Erin Nicholas got her inspiration for this amazing character that is geeky and extremely loveable)
From the moment their eyes meet there is something between Maya and Alex, where she is all for it, even being distracted, Alex was very cautious and not fully open. What started out as a way to learn something he could bond with his 10yr old daughter Charli, turned into way more than either Alex or Maya expected. They are the opposite in so many ways, but, also they complement each other's characters too! That is what I love about Erin Nicholas' writing, not many authors can write like that and make it seem so real!!
This amazing funny sweet sexy geeky superhero read is just what you need to get your fill of romance and make-believe along with Hot Alpha Men and never giving up on your HEA. There is a Captain America out there for all of us!!!

FOREVER MINE is a standalone read with a happy ever after. There are colorful words and sexy scenes. A great read. This love story is a bit different in that it deals with hemophilia. That is a blood disorder where the blood does not clot when an injury has occurred. I can be deadly if not treated quickly enough. Dr. Alex is a specialist in the disease and treats patients as well as does research. He is overwhelmed and surprised when he finds out that a one-night stand resulted in a little girl. She is now 9 and her mother is seeking his help as she has hemophilia. He is in love before he even meets her. He has all the makings for a wonderful dad. His daughter is crazy about super heroes.

At the mall he sees a demonstration about sword play with a group from a studio that teaches children self-esteem and confidence. The main teacher is in bright purple leather and she is a warrior princess. He is fascinated by her and meets her after class. He wants to learn all of it so he can share with his daughter and give them a common interest. Maya is an ex-cop. She was severely injured when she pulled a pup from a burning car. So she was released from the force and she is now doing what she really loves but with the main goal of getting back to her old job. Maya lives to help others.

Rachel is the mother of his daughter, Charli. She is living with hemophilia and is having a hard time being told no every time she wants to do something that could cause serious injury. She is also just getting to know her dad. This is a really good story and a good lesson in understanding hemophilia. I really enjoyed the story, it is entertaining as well as interesting. Alex has a big secret to tell his daughter. He does not share the secret with others and has to a point being hiding behind it. He is also torn between loving Maya and being responsible to Rachel. A good read and one not to miss. I felt this story was way different from the usual ones Ms. Nicholas writes - at least from the first ones I have read. It is good and thoughtful. I definitely recommend it.

Forever Mine is the second book in the Opposites Attract series by Erin Nicholas. Maya Goodwin is a woman who holds nothing back in anything she does whether it's helping children gain more self-esteem, or loving someone with her heart and sole. Alex Nolan is a renowned doctor who specializes in research for Hemophilia. He is a man who is always on the outside looking in, never putting himself out there. Until the day he finds out he is the father of a nine year old girl who has the same affliction as he does - Hemophilia. His daughter Charli is a child who is into the Galactic Renegades and Alex wants to learn everything he can about the show in order to make a positive connection with his daughter.

Alex attends a demonstration at Active Imagination Martial Arts and Fitness Studio where he watches several adults demonstrating various martial arts, stage fighting and weaponry techniques dressed as Superheros. One particular Superhero got his attention immediately, a woman in purple leather who just happened to be the owner of Active Imagination. He was so taken by her, he could not take his eyes off of her.

Alex enlists Maya's help in learning everything he can about the Galactic Renegades in order to impress his daughter, but while doing that Maya challenged him at every turn. The chemistry between them was amazing and it soon became apparent that Alex and Maya could not keep their hands off each other.

Can Maya get Alex to finally open up and take a chance, or is he so used to being on the outside looking in that he misses a chance of a lifetime.

This was a great story dealing with a man who doesn't know how to go for it and a woman who does not know how to put the brakes on her actions or her emotions. I truly loved this story.

Erin tells a story about hemophilia, but it is a story about so much more than that. I highly recommend this book and this series.
