I quite enjoyed both stories. I feel they were well written and had a great twist on things.
I must say if you like stories that make you feel good in the end these are the ones you should get. There were no harsh sexual bits that make you cringe. Just a bit of romance and quite a few moments that made me bite my nails. Do you like vampires, ogres, elves, magic, wolfs and other things? This set has them all, or a good part of them! I finished both books in two days but then again I do read like sucking air.

I am happy with the ending it's good one. I recommend this book for all young readers 15 and up.
Thank you Tenaya Jayne for the time you have placed in these books for us to enjoy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Sequel 17 August 2013

I liked how the second book picked right up where the first book left off. I hate having to wade through paragraphs of back story I already know.

Anyway, this story finds our heroine with everything she wants within her grasp, but it is her own insecurities keeping her from it.

This book really explores Forest 's vulnerable side. You will still see a little bit of her tough girl exterior, but not so much.

There is an interesting side story involving Nettie that will keep you turning pages.

Overall, I can say that I enjoyed this story and look forward to the next. There were some spelling errors with homophones but they were easy to overlook because of the story was interesting.

4.0 out of 5 stars I Loved The First & This Was Nearly A Five 26 March 2015

The Legends of Regina (Forbidden Forrest) was among one of the first free E-books I read, I loved it. So naturally books 2 &3 were among the first two E-books I purchased.

**Spoilers will be included somewhat**

Forest Fire for me started out very strong. To the point I stayed up late too see how it ended. Unfortunately I was disappointed because the last chapter advances a month to a big ceremony about to be held... I advance the page and my kindle takes me to the Epilogue. Huh? I thought there was a defect in the book until checking and seeing other reviewers mention this as well. This was disappointment one.

At the end of the book is a little letter asking reader's to understand that when they ask for money back on a book that Amazon doesn't cover the cost she does. This I found kind of a "request " to let her keep your money, even if you don't like it and Amazon allows refunds. At least that's how her words came across to this reader. These two disappointments lead to the 4 stars.

Pros: I did like learning there was more to Forest besides the vampire hating enforcement agent. There is also more to Syrus as well besides wounded vampire royalty. They're journey both separate and together to their own self worth and love is what kept my interest for 90% of the book.

I would say over all the book is a good read, Yes it could have been better with 3 things If Forest' s boss "Kindel "wasn't called "Kindle" a couple of times, if the ceremony wasn't skimmed over as it sounded of importance to the Regina series future.
I would still recommend this book, a bit cautiously because these would deal breakers for some.

«No I didn't even consider returning the book because of it's flaws. That choice had nothing to do with the authors comments. I read paper back romances for years before E-books. I am not accustomed to asking for money back on something I finished reading . The comments may impact if buy book four, depends what I think of book three to be honest.»
3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the first, but good. 22 June 2015

You know, the first quarter of this would have made the perfect ending to the first novel with a great set-up for a new character to continue the series, but Tenaya drug the story along creating petty feelings of unworth in the characters causing emotional insecurity just to produce drama.

Leith's comeuppance wasn't gratifying to me, and her grief over it was just classic stupidity.

Death seems to be a common way in dealing with those who argue, but there are hints of a society with laws, however crumbling, that contradict each other. Prieswt's want of killing Loren was not justified enough for someone wanting to become a just leader.

The cult the elves gather under believes in experimentation for the greater good, creating splices, but what's the difference between a splice and a halfling? I mean, if she was an experiment for splicing, and she was born naturally, weren't there other races that have produced halflings that could have been observed?

What about the love of his daughter, Ram? Why was it not condoned? It's not explained?

The story of forming a new republic was entertaining, but the lack of a real villain throughout the novel was severely took away from what the new world order is fighting for.

If you want closure to the last book, by all means, get it, but I was not satisfied with the epilogue that took the remaining 3/4 of the story.

5.0 out of 5 stars A action-packed, spellbinding adventure 23 September 2013

Aheeeeee....I LOVE, Love, loveeeee...This series, and its spellbinding adventures! Oh, there are no words to describe how I felt about this book. Well maybe, Breathtaking, Gut-wrenching, Heart-throbbing, Hands-shaking, and Heart-breaking. You get the!

Forest Fire has been a HIGLY Anticipated book for me after reading and LOVING the first book Forbidden Forest (See My Review of Forbidden Forest HERE)! It's been at the top of my waiting list all summer long! I just couldn't wait to get my hands on this book, and when it finally landed in my happy little hands, I couldn't wait to devour it! And trust me when I say Forest Fire was well worth the wait, and did NOT disappoint one but! Its satisfied all my cravings for love, lust, action, adventure, revenge, pain, death, and of course, happily ever after!

The Plot:

The world of Regia is in an uproar. All is in chaos after Forest was banished back to earth, forbidden to ever set foot in Regia again! Vampires have broken through the portals, invading earth and disrupting the two world combined. Werewolf's are in an uprising after their leader was murdered, and are pursuing war with the vampires! Elf's are threating to overthrow the vampires and claim power. And Syrus, poor Syrus, is being held captive in a secluded location, closed off by a magic barrier within the castle. He only wishes he could break through the barrier that binds him, and kill anything in his path back to Forest! And Forest's world has been turned upside down in a matter of minutes. She is broken, shattered, and forced to live in exile on earth without her life mate. And if that's not enough, she also has to fight off the vampire assassins that the queen sends through the portal to kill her. Things are bad, and their about to get worse!

Forest has always known her heritage was half Shape-Shifter, and half Elf. But what Forest didn't know was how powerful her bloodline really was! Her father is someone in power. More powerful then Forest ever feared. Forest has always thought her father would eventually come for her. But she never thought he would come to her rescue.

Forest and Syrus battle their way back into each others arms from two different worlds. But that's only the beginning to their reunion. Their is more trouble in the shadows, as Forest's slave & lover marks burns as hot as fire whenever they touch. They were illegal branded on her as a child by a vampire named Leith that claimed her as his lover and slave. Forest was then forced to do what he wanted, when he wanted. She was bound to please him by the marks embedded in her skin, claiming her as his property! He's still out there, and as long as he's breathing, he keeps Forest and Syrus from completing their bond, and becoming one. The illegal marks she's branded with will always be the barrier between them until its removed only by Leith's death. Forest and Syrus won't rest until Leith is dead and the marks she's imprinted with are removed for good!

But theirs more problems around the corner as Forest is not considered a pure blood, and she's having a hard time excepting her title with judging eyes! Forest is given the opportunity to have a highly respected title of authority, not to mention her option of being queen of all Regia. But does Forest deserve to be the all and powerful queen of them all? Does Forest have what it takes to stand up for the ones who are mute? But most of all, does Forest have the strength to battle all Regia for it?

Love will be tested, lines will be crossed, battle will be fought, and lives will be lost, as the new world is born! By the time the end comes all will be revealed!

I absolutely adored this book, though I did like the first one a bit more. I loved watching Forest and Syrus's bond grow and form in the first book. It felt stronger and more connected. But I enjoyed this book almost as much. I am so sad to see this series end after only the second book. I felt this book ended on a great note, but that their was still more too be told. Like its still not complete with the unanswered questions. I am hoping this author decides to write at least one more book, for more closure. Either way I am happy with this series, and Forest and Syrus will go down as ONE of my favorite couples in books ever!

Overall this series rocked, and this author is at her best when writing action-packed sences, and romance sences. She writes the most spectacular sizzling connection between two characters that had me in tears at some parts. I will definitely be reading more from this author.

Um, wow. I have never been more disappointed in the sequel to a book before. The first book, Forbidden Forest, was amazing. Funny, witty, with just the right amount of sorrow to touch your heart strings. The characters were developed, and well understood. I started reading Forest Fire and I was simply shocked. I am not sure how a writer can move backwards- but that is what happened here. Everything was choppy, there were no smooth transitions. At times I was so frustrated with how little we were actually reading about Forest and Syrus- was this not their book? Was this not the next in their epic romance? Forest and Syrus transformed into childish, moronic, harsh and confused characters. Gone are our fierce warriors as they are replaced with a non communicative couple whose relationship now resembles a middle school drama. Lost are the details, emotions and developing of our characters. Without spoiling the book, it's like all the ground work lain out in the first book is pointless because the story takes on an entirely new direction. I will remember Forbidden Forest fondly, but Forest Fire and the rest of this series are off my Kindle and off my radar for good.
