2.0 out of 5 stars I do not get the high reviews...scratching my head here. 3 January 2015

This is a story of young woman in college that is dumped by Liam her only ever boyfriend and first lover. She is crushed and a crying mess but has the support of her roommate and best friend, Jordan. And yet, less than a few days later she is contemplating how hot and attracted she is to her hunky college professor. But she is still a crying mess everytime she see's her ex with his arm around his new bombshell bimbo.

Alas, this story does go there...and she is meeting the professor at a hotel of his choice. And only after a short week or so after Liam. Too fast for me. She is also a good girl and not much of a drinker ( as the author points out) but I had to roll my eyes because she sure does knock by a lot of the pool party, at the bar, at the girls get the frat party. There is sudden jealousy from the professor( who did not want a relationship) over Liam, and over a frat boy he overhears talking to Shiv in the background via a drunk call from her at said frat party. Grayson, the Professor, comes swooping in to remove her from the party. Not in person of course, or he would blow his secret relationship to her which could lose him his job and credibility.

Absurd, he tells her they must be exclusive, but he can have an ex girl friend living in his apt (just temporarily, he explains to Shiv, no sex.)
I just could not finish this story!! It kept getting too silly. Liam wants her back after a few weeks( 3, I think). She is totally over him and ready to move on...WAIT...this is after she was still crying over him a few days before.

There was not even any intercourse at this point , just one oral scene at the hotel. But I was done.

I did not finish this story. If felt rather silly and contrived.

3.0 out of 5 stars Her constant overreaction to everything is so annoying and she jumped to conclusions all the time 15 November 2014

This book was just "meh" for me. The plot was predictable and the main character was not likeable. Her constant overreaction to everything is so annoying and she jumped to conclusions all the time. She acted like she was 17 instead of a senior in college. She has been a relationship with her boyfriend for 5 years. Suddenly he decides he doesn't want to be in a relationship with her and cheats on her before breaking up with her. She's heartbroken, obviously and understandably but after a short grieving period she decides a good way to get over her 5 year relationship is to have a fling with her professor. She has sex with him and decides she's totally over her ex and suddenly in love with her professor, which of course complicates everything.

I realize this is suppose to be a trilogy but I absolutely hate cliff hangers like this.

There were a few proofreading errors and I didn't understand the random paragraph breaks.

Overall, it was just ok.

4.0 out of 5 stars thoughts on forbidden attraction 12 June 2014

I am mixed on my feeling for this book. I like the book overall but Shiv just got on my nerves. Shiv or Siobhan is in her last year of college, her life is perfect to her. Than her world crashes- boyfriend of 5 years that she followed to college breaks up with her, bestfriend drifts off and starts hanging with others, she starts drinking more to numb the pain, and she is in love with her teacher.

A teacher who is one of her new friends brothers. A teacher who's best friend is in love with him and blackmails him. Professor Michaels or Grayson is a handsome man. A smart man but his past has jaded him. He is immensely attracted to Shiv. Trying not to be though since she is his student. But failing epically. When they do come together he creates a arrangement that helps to guard his heart. According to his best friend Vanessa, who is in love with him and I believe is stalking and trying to harm Shiv, he is a sex addict but she also threatens him. I think so we see him fall for her and to protect himself he walks away and hooks up with Vanessa. Whatever happened in his past had him do that. I think he got scared about his feelings and than walked away. But with the way he was outside Shiv's hospital room I really believe he reciprocates Shiv's feelings of love. Shiv though I think is going to come back and not care anymore. She did this with Liam and I believe will do this with Grayson.

I love Grayson. I love his confliction and honesty. I love that his choice in the end is to protect Shiv even if she thinks he is doing it for other reasons. Not a fan of Shiv. I think she has to grow up alot and I mean alot. She doesn't trust when she should which puts Grayson on edge. She jumps to conclusions with explanations all the time which is tiring and she is very self destructive.

Saying all that I hope that Grayson and Shiv find their way to be together in the end. I hope they will. I think Shiv can help Grayson with his past and I think Grayson can help Shiv with her self esteem and help her grow up. She needs to see there is more going on than she thinks and begin to trust him. Vanessa I hope goes down in flames. She is narcissitic and evil like Grayson said and I don't think Shiv is right I think Grayson has now walked away for good from Vanessa.

A wonderful book on pain and heartache, trust and love. Not sure how this couple will turn out but I hope they are together in the end.

Well until about the 30% mark, I wasn't too sure about this book. There were hints of other books in it which kind of bugged me-at first. As the story went on and I got more of this sexy Professor, my mind changed quickly.

Siobhan is a senior in college, (so the age gap isn't creepy) and lives with her bestie. She chose this University to be close to her long time boyfriend Liam. For the past few years things have been going great for Shiv and Liam, until he breaks her heart by cheating on her. Of course she is done with him and there is one thing that will quickly help her over the heart break, the sexy Professor Grayson Michaels.

Grayson Michaels isn't just a Professor. He is a millionaire playboy. He isn't looking for a relationship, just a quick lay with no strings attached. Of course all of his female students are in awe of him, however he hones in on the beautiful, sad Siobhan. Grayson watched the whole Liam thing unfold, so he knows she will be ripe for the picking.

Grayson and Shiv enter into a strange relationship, but one that will protect their hearts. Even in this relationship, the teacher/student aspect is present. Shiv has only been with Liam, so she can learn a lot from Grasyon and he is only happy to oblige.

We are now on the emotional roller coaster ride that is Grayson and Siobahn. This is where we see how young she really is, lots of accusing and crying from her which was a tad bit annoying at times. On the other hand Grayson is a hard man to handle (pun intended), he has rules and a life that she isn't ready for at all.

The situation is bad, people are trying to break them up and in the midst of all of this, somebody is messing with Shiv. The book is well written and I am so glad I suck with it as quite the story unfolded towards the end. It's set up nicely for a second book which is out already.
4.0 out of 5 stars 4 1/2! Forbidden Attraction, book 1 (3). To rebound heartbroken student agrees to a sexual fling with sexy Professor! 20 August 2014

“Damn. Looks like I am going to be your teacher on a whole different level. Let the depravity begin,” he smiles.”

Books in The Forbidden trilogy should be read in order:
Book 1: Forbidden Attraction
Book 2: Forbidden Love
Book 3: Untitled

Forbidden Attraction (book 1) opens up to USC college student Siobhan Gallagher, Shiv being dumped by her boyfriend of 5 years. To make matters worse he admits to cheating and quickly attaches himself to someone new plus he speaks freely about their boring sex life. Shiv is heartbroken, embarrassed and self-conscious.

Their painful break up is observed by their new wealthy, enigmatic and beyond sexy Professor Grayson Michaels. Shiv cannot help but be smitten by his classic good looks and imposing presence. But due to school’s strict non-fraternization policy her attraction is indeed forbidden….

Away from school Shiv keeps running into Professor Michaels as she socializes his step sister. From the onset Professor Michaels gives her mixed signals; by parading beautiful women in front of her while letting her know he lusting after her. And he makes no apologies for his non-committal and kinky ways nor for guarding his secrets. Imagine Shiv surprise when first he proposes an exclusive clandestine weekend affair.
“I can be your rebound guy, but that’s it.”

And so their nothing-short-of tempestuous affair begins; A rollercoaster, even before it commences, with set-backs, confusion, secrets, villains, lies, deceit and shockers much thanks to the complex Professor Michaels, his mysterious past and women vying for his heart…
“Be warned that I like complete control. When you cross my threshold Friday evening, you are mine to do what I please.”

GRAYSON MICHAELS: 27 years/Heir/Professor/VP M&A/$$$$/Black hair/Blue eyes/6’3”.
Eight words to describe Professors Grayson Michaels: Enigmatic, jaded, blunt, charismatic, dominant, elusive, possessive and non-committal.

SIOBHAN GALLAGHER, Shiv: 21 years/College student, Business major/Red hair/Gray eyes.
Seven words to describe Siobhan Gallagher, Shiv: Sweet, naïve, loyal, insecure, indecisive, sensitive and broken.

Forbidden Attraction is fast paced keeping you on your toes. My only wish would have been for Grayson to be a few years older. Not surprisingly it ends much like it reads – tumultuously! Not a cliffhanger per se, rather at a time when you want to keep on reading. Needless to say I am very much looking forward to book 2, Forbidden Love for the continuation of their story!

Larger-than-life hero! Forbidden and enticing plot! Mind-blowing sex scenes! Excellent debut by S.R. Watson!
“He is raw and gritty with sex, but at the same time he gives me unparalleled pleasure.”
