This is a slow burn romance that for me was an easy-going read with a fairly low amount of angst. It was frustrating to read at times because of how the characters interacted with each other; the push and pull, the will they won't they. Having said that the writing did flow beautifully to give a really good story that touched my heart and left me smiling but not without a few tears along the way.
Henley and Lincoln were to say the least really addictive characters to read about. Lincoln comes across as the big I am; the jock and quarterback of his football team who all look up to him and of course he has the pick of any girl he wants. He is cocky and sarcastic with a gorgeous smirk the girls can't resist.
Henley is on a mission to get Lincolns attention, which doesn't take too long. She stands out from the normal girls Lincoln goes for and Henley gives Lincoln as good as she gets, he finds this trait in Henley addictive and he is really attracted to her. They pull together like magnets, but not without lots of problems occurring along the way. Some of the humorous banter between them was really funny.
I loved the way Lincoln's character developed as the story went along. Peeling back the layers of his life. I got to see a much different side to Lincoln revealed and I really enjoyed this. Told in dual perspective, which is always good, this story stole a little piece of my heart, broke it and then put it all back together again in one piece.
This story is well worth the read.

OMG! Holy Wow Carrie!! Again you've went and knocked my socks off with your amazing stories yet again!!
I really loved this book so much. At first I was like mmmmmm...it did start a bit slow for me, but then it picked up pace around chapter 3. Then it was off like a rocket! What a great story this was!
Henley and Lincoln meet at college and it's for a reason they met. A very specific reason. Henley needs to get revenge on Lincoln for what he did to her bestie in high school. They don't know each other, but Henley knows all about him. And she needs to get revenge on him!!
It's all set up and ready to go but Henley didn't know she'd feel like she would towards Lincoln, and Lincoln didn't know he'd end up feeling the way he did about her.
One thing leads to another, and they end up really liking each other. Little does Lincoln know what's coming his way. But can Henley really do it after all this time, and the attraction they have towards one another?
I really liked the way that she made him wait it out for anything to happen. She tortured the poor boy LOL! But he deserved. He knew how he was with women before, and he had no idea how to handle Henley!
Also Lincoln helps her with her list, but doesn't know who the "friend" is. I loved that Carrie took it that way and he actually helped with some of the items on the list.
One of my fave quotes from the book:
1. Once you feed the beast, it's hard to go back. - ROFL!!!! Henley cracks me up!! If you've read it, you know what she's talking about!

This is a truly magnificent book that had me crying one minute, laughing the next and often wanting to throw my kindle at the nearest wall in frustration-mainly due to Henley.
Lincoln was my favorite character in this book, but Henley for all of her tunnel vision faults, was almost as outstanding in her own rights.
The whole storyline was completely unique to me, and me already being a huge Carrie Aarons fan, I couldn’t imagine any other author pulling this storyline off.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

This enemies to lovers story had me by the blurb and I couldn’t wait to get a hold of this book and when I finished it I wasn’t disappointed I wanted more. Henley has a goal to achieve get revenge on Lincoln for what he had done to her best friend, make him fall in love with her and dump him but also achieve what she didn’t while her best friend wasn’t alive on the bucket list. What she didn’t expect and realize was that she would be falling in love with him just as much as he was. From the moment they met they had an instant connection which she kept denying as she felt guilt knowing what Lincoln had done and what she had been told of him. This book made me laugh, smile, swoon then cry not only of sadness but happiness. It was an emotional rollercoaster knowing these two were soul mates but the lies kept them apart. I received this as an arc and I would happily read it over and over again. This was the second book of Carrie Aarons and it won’t be my last.

what do you do when your best friend dies from cancer? You complete her to do list in her honour even if it means hurting someone else. This was a great book, I laughed, I cried and devoured this book to get to the end.

Dealing with loss is a long road. In order to keep that connection with her best friend Henley sets out to complete a the bucket list they compiled together before her death. This is a story of loss of love and of all the struggles in between. It give you all the feels and will make you laugh, cry and want to slap one or both of the main characters but hey every good romance has that element and I’ll definitely be recommending this story to others 😍😍

I really enjoyed reading Henley and Lincoln's story. Henley is determined to finish her bff's bucket list when she dies of cancer. On her list is get revenge on Lincoln Kolb. Henley has decided that she will make him fall for her and then crush him. That really is her plan but it gets a little derailed when she gets to know him. He is nothing like Catherine described him and before long she catches the feelings for him and she knows that it might not only be his heart that gets broken. When things blow up the fallout is all on her but at least she kept her vow to her best friend but then why does everything feel so wrong now that he's gone.
This is a fabulous read!! My only teeny tiny critique is that there should have been a little more angst when he finds out and he should have made her work for it and because of this the ending felt a little too rushed.
