Product Description

My name is Suzy, and I’m just a girl—a girl who believes in fairytales, unicorns, and the notion that wishing upon a shooting star really can make all my dreams come true. Or, at least, I think I’m that girl. Lately, the world’s perception of me has left me questioning everything.

Love is love, or so I believed…

Then he barged into my life.

My name is Garrett, and I’m just a guy—a guy trying to survive in the world I’ve been cursed to roam. I do not cling to the idea of happily-ever-after, the scars of my past proof positive that I do not deserve such luxuries.

Love is lost, or so I thought…

Until she lit up my life.

***While this is book #2 in The Believe Series, it can be read as a standalone novel. Due to the sexual nature and subjects addressed, it is not appropriate for readers under the age of 18.***

Karen Ferry does it again.. in her debut novel Make Me Believe we met Suzy and I was intrigued to get to know her more and find out her story. Fool for Love takes us, with Suzy, to New York where she escapes to, with the intention of finding her true self. With the burden of hurt in her heart, inflicted on her by the two people who's love for you should be selfless and unconditional, Suzy meets the moody and dominant Garrett who has his own ghosts.. will he let Suzy in behind his facade, and let her see the real man that she keeps getting glimpses of, or will he push her away to protect his tattered heart. Heart warming, emotional and very sexy I couldn't put this down.. with lots of tender moments entwined with sheer dominance... a true alpha male in every sense of the word.. a scene between Garret and Suzy's mum at 95% had me giggling.. not something I do very often out loud when reading.. I am a reserved reader. I may have swung to #teamGarrett while #Daniel will always be my first love ! I also think that Karen's writing has developed in FFL... whilst MMB was really well written there were some minor grammatical issues more than likely due to language differences for this writer, but I hardly noticed any in FFL. a definite must read.. can't wait for Time to Learn !!

5.0 out of 5 stars Bittersweet Love 27 July 2016

At first I was confused. I was like WAIT, is this a lesbian romance story? I mean I don't mind those. I was just confused.

As I read, I understood more. This girl who you will meet in the first book of this series is bisexual. In this book, you come to find out that she came out to her parents to a bad end. Upset, she leaves Europe and settles in New York City. She's Friends With Benefits with a girl. I found their relationship sweet, but even she said she is not in love with her.

But then she meets this guy who does make her wonder if love is possible. But he's MUCH MUCH older and is NOT really interested in love. But they can't resist the attraction.

All I can say is awwwwwwwwwwww. This book was written beautifully and the story had enough angst that you couldn't stop reading it. Actually I'm already hoping that the third book centers around the Friends With Benefits girl. I felt so sorry for her. It was clear that she did love her, even though she knew it was best to let her go. I want to see her find her love, even if it's another girl. I can't wait.

4.0 out of 5 stars A very refreshing and wonderful read. 4 May 2016

When I first saw my friend Viviana post a teaser from this book on her Instagram page, I knew I had to get my hands on this beauty.

Fast forward 2 months later and I can definitely tell you this book was worth the wait. I am absolutely in love with Suzy and Garrett, they were both incredibly refreshing characters that really stand out in a pool full of heroines who don't believe in love and heroes who are stubborn and stay stubborn until there are like 5 pages left in the book.

Don't get me wrong, I do adore heroines who think love is a fantasy and heroes who literally wouldn't realise they are in love even if cupid himself was like "HEY YOU THIS IS WHAT LOVE FEELS LIKE" but Suzy's "I want and I deserve a happily ever after" attitude is always one I can appreciate along with Garrett's incapability to make us doubt she cares about Suzy.

I'm not sure if this was a very fast read or if I personally devoured it but it's definitely a book I will recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful tale about love, forgiveness, against all odds, breaking down the barriers. 27 April 2016

Sometimes, you love an author and you’re so eager to read the next book, you’re waiting for the next one, and then once you’ve got it … Mind-blowing!!! Garrett and Suzy’s story exceeded my expectations. Just like that.

This is how I love my Romance novels : true, kind and passionate.

First of all, the characters felt realistic, authentic with no pretenses, they didn’t beat around the bush : when they argued, when they loved, when they hurt, I felt it all.

Suzy was definitely my hero here; sweet on this outside but such a firecracker on the inside; don’t let this woman fool you; she could bite!

She was not afraid to show her true amazing colors, searching for her HEA, even if she was kinda lost in her life. New York seemed the place to start something new, away from all this mess … Until an misunderstanding called Garrett came along in her life.

Her fierceness, braveness and sensitive side moved me. She was a force of nature!

I think Karen Ferry ruined me for another book boyfriend … Ladies be prepared for some heat, because Garrett is the epitome of sexiness and dominance! I was mesmerized by this character. Living in the dark for more than a decade, meeting Suzy was the breathe, the light he wasn’t expected and deserved.

Troubled and smitten from the moment he laid eyes on the sweet and innocent Suzy, he was trying to stay away from her, not to taint her by his darkness. Rough, stubborn and honest but always knew when he was wrong. Garrett is the man!

The two of them together … Explosive, challenging and sensual! I really enjoyed the duality in their relationship, never taking anything for granted. First starting for a physical relationship for Garrett, and by the way was such a fool sometimes, stubborn caveman!

Suzy on the contrary was for the long haul, even if sometimes, Garrett reaction’s broke my heart, his ways to push her away, in his constant auto protective mode.

I want to believe in HEA, and each time Karen Ferry did it. Writing stories with centered characters in a very introspective way with this little spark that made this book so special to me. My love for these characters grew throughout the story. A beautiful tale about love, forgiveness, against all odds, breaking down the barriers.

One of my best reads for 2016.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fall in love with Suzy and Garrett... 28 April 2016
By Helen - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Fool For Love is the second book in the Believe series and Suzy and Garrett's story, it can be read as a standalone but as the first book in the series is so good, I would definitely recommend reading that too!

Suzy was first introduced in Make Me Believe (Believe #1) and I was so happy when I found out her story was up next. Needing time away from her family, Suzy moves to New York and Garrett is her landlord. Forgetting he has rented his apartment, Garrett returns home, catching Suzy and her on/off lover Morgan in a compromising position. Suzy and Garrett come to an arrangement where thay can both stay in the apartment, and so their journey begins..

I absolutely loved Suzy and Garrett's story. Suzy was a bright, bubbly character who had lost her sparkle, and it was great to see how she shone with Garrett. Garrett believed he belonged in darkness and was just going through the motions of life, but it took meeting Suzy to bring light back into his life. For me this was a story about rediscovering yourself and meeting the right people at the right time in your life. It was about believing in yourself and believing in love. From the first page, I was addicted to this beautifully written and heart warming romance, and I enjoyed every minute I spent with Suzy and Garrett.

I love Karen Ferry's writing style and its hard to believe that this is only her second book. I'm ready for book three!

5.0 out of 5 stars Everyone wants a Garrett 28 April 2016
By Maïwenn ~Obsessed with Romance - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Fool for Love has been on top of my most expected books list and will be on top of my fav reads of 2016!!!
We met Suzy in Make Me Believe and fell in love with a charming, bubbly, funny, full of life young woman.

We meet her again in Fool for Love but this time Suzy is not as bubbly and is a shell of her former self. After a hard and hurtful confrontation with her parents, Suzy leaves for New York.

Suzy meets Garrett under unexpected circumstances. They make a deal, and thus starts the hide and seek, the hot and cold, the sweet and tortuous "relationship" between them.

Garrett is a troubled man. Older than Suzy, he has gone through life, following the motions of life but not living them.
When he meets Suzy, a tiny spark burst into his life. As much as he tries to deny and fight his attraction to Suzy, he can't stay away from her for long. And Oh boy, he puts so much effort at avoiding her!!!!

We can only root for those two lovable (but grumpy ;) ) characters who will find their solace in each other arms and hearts.

Garrett and Suzy will, step by step, build themselves a future as individuals, as a couple and along the way they will slowly heal each others scars.

Karen Ferry has a way with words. Her stories are always very introspective, wise and thoughtful.
Her writing puts you right into the story, living with and through each characters' actions and reactions
