Product Description

Do you remember when you knew you were falling in love?

What starts with a lucky encounter during their college years turns out to be a moment that will forever define their futures.

That breathless, electric feeling in the air; giddy with the excitement of a new day.

We have all experienced it in some way. Through the recollection of friends & family, through tender embraces between mother and child, but the most poignant is that of the writings of a love struck man who has already seen the end.

In this contemporary romance, author Leonard Belmont takes us on an unhindered emotional journey into the lives of a young couple from the moment they lay eyes on one another. Beginning with the end of their life together, these unhindered thoughts open us up to what love is like in its earliest moments.

“It did not take long to understand what I was living in that moment.

Love at first sight.

My soul mate”

˃˃˃ A Highly Poignant Read

The first in a series of novels by Leonard Belmont, Five Years is a beautifully written love story about the love lives of a young man and the girl of his dream

˃˃˃ Beautiful imagery and artful technique

This book is written more like the works of the romantic poets or of the writer's during the renaissance.

˃˃˃ Simply brilliant

I'm simply amazed at how much I enjoyed this story

We've all labored through poetry at some point - pretentious metaphors and abstract similes that left us more confused than affected.

In this work, Belmont harnesses the incredible beauty of poetic rhythm and statement, that will make even the greatest cynic a new fan of the form.

In Five Years, he tackles a poet's greatest inspiration: love, and transports us back to a time we've all experienced, when a single glance, or a small smile, was enough to take our world and twist it inside out. Powerful in its simplicity, raw in its honesty, this is a work that will stay with you after you've finished it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fall In Love All Over Again! 13 September 2014

What a wonderful feeling to be at the beginning of love. A story that is engaging and timeless was made even more precious as I am experiencing the beginning of a destined love story that I never thought would happen for me. I could feel every moment from meeting to first communications as if they were the moments I myself lived just a few short months ago. As a female I believed such thoughts belonged only to the emotional sensitivities of a girl. To see in print a man who also experiences and believes in such things was indescribable.

Leonard Belmont captured the anxiety, the crippling fear of rejection, the moment when you know you have to let go and let fate fall where it may. To play the game of love without playing the game is difficult, and Belmont creates the self doubt I think we all feel when we meet the one person who is meant to walk the rest of our journey with us. The thoughts of “oh God what if it ends, I couldn't bare for it to end,” can make a new lover freeze in panic. There is a sort of adrenaline rush that keeps us going at that moment, and Belmont painted the scene perfectly.

Anyone who hopes to fall in love, is falling in love, or has fallen in love should read this timeless story. They will feel as if they are the person writing these words, experiencing these thoughts, feeling these emotions. To live in the glow of love is the greatest feeling ever.

I can not wait for the next book in this serious. This one was masterfully written, and being drawn back in to find out how that first walk goes is an exciting prospect indeed. Fine job!
5.0 out of 5 stars A Highly Poignant Read 5 September 2014

The first in a series of novels by Leonard Belmont, Five Years is a beautifully written love story about the love lives of a young man and the girl of his dream. This novel is a short read that only took me a night to read, but all the way I highly enjoyed reading through it. Leonard Belmount has a great writing style that's both beautiful and interesting. The way the story is also a unique approach that I haven't seen other authors take. It's for the reason that Leonard writes his novel that makes me like it the most. Five Years has an approach that lets you see the love that the couple has first hand and watch how it blossomed over the years to the stable marriage that it becomes.
I would recommend this novel to anyone who's looking for a great novel series that has deeply written characters with a poignant plot. I can't wait to read Leonard Belmont's other novels and the future novels series installments after Five Years.
5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful to be in love 27 September 2014

There is nothing I love like a beautiful love story. And this novel is one that I will remember for years to come. I keeping thinking about relationship that develops between these two young people and the way the author seems to really know the characters and what they are thinking. I can't get the story out of my mind. I keep opening the book back up (on my kindle of course) and looking at different parts.

There are several things I love about this story. The inside, intimate portrait of 2 people falling love ins exquisite in its detail. Love like this – love that gives and doesn’t need to receive shows a spark of the divine. This lovely story makes me remember and even rekindle my own love. I can only give the author praise for such a fine work about one of the highest best human experiences.
5.0 out of 5 stars A Poem by the Heart 21 October 2014

One of the things that I immediately enjoy about books grounded in reality is the concept that what you're reading could be either fiction or true to our world. In The Meeting, I was constantly considering the thought that what I was reading was either a smartly written, off-the-cuff story, or one of the greatest love letters ever written, to someone who means the world to you. In any case, the author manages to capture everything in this remembrance with pure poetry - not that saccharine, even tempo'd material you'd learn in grade school, but the kind of story that can only be told by the heart's dictation. This story is warm, it's endearing, and it'll remind you of the people who you've loved your whole life. Kudos to Belmont for capturing everything so succinctly.

Being married to my high school sweetheart and together for the past 24 years, I really enjoy a good love story, and this one is very special! I was drawn in from the beginning and right through to the end and was touched emotionally by the authenticity of this story. It felt like taking a trip down memory lane in my own life at some points. Five Years - The Meeting by Leonard Belmont is a well-written, beautiful journey. I fell in love all over again, with the book that is. I look forward to more and am now a huge fan of this talented author. I highly recommend this book!
