I enjoyed the mix of English and U.S. settings, although this may have led to the use of some odd phrases and words such as 'chaise lounge' rather than 'chaise longue', sprinkling with curry (should that be curry powder?), taking a pulse is a good indication of body temperature (a pulse rate is likely to be raised when someone is feverish due to an infection but these are 2 symptoms, not an indicator of each other), 'irritably' instead of 'irritatingly', 'a delirious quantity of coloured paper'. The stories are good romcoms and avoid the use of unnecessary explicit sex scenes. The first story is particularly complex with a 'parallel world' basis, and although the final story uses the 'buying a fake boyfriend' premise I liked the characters, plots and narrative style.
I look forward to reading more by this author.
Great summer read. This was the first book I have read from the author but I'm a follower now!
