Truly inspiring saga of the clandestine struggle of one concerned woman born to wealth who decides to use her power to better guide the destiny of humanity and give it the stars.
This is a very intelligent book, with strong varied characters, many facets of plot and theme, and a worthy read for anyone interested in the pivotal role of education in an aging society. The author subscribes to the very believable premise that the window to attain space is narrow, and that we are on the far edge of it, and are today at our last chance to grasp it and go through. The window was at its widest some years ago, due to the cold war campaigns for science and math in education, and the space race, with its incredible abundance of commercial fallout.
This book is more than just a fine near-futyure/current day fascinator. It has heart, direction, and some great ideas.
