1.0 out of 5 stars Definitely read the description because I just wasted money on this "novel 23 December 2016

I only purchased this because I received a notification that R.K. Lilley had published something new. Being a dedicated fan I purchased it. I had no idea what this was supposed to be, I still don't fully understand. I think it's a collection of different authors continuing the same story. However, having not read the books before this one, I had no idea what was going on, and quite frankly, didn't particularly care. Definitely read the description because I just wasted money on this "novel?" Anyway, just wait for the next true R.K. Lilley novel.

Love this book, this series. I love how the different authors can pick up the story line and make it seamless.

Rising Storm Season 2 was a great 5 star read.

Fire and Rain:
Celeste is still struggling with the death of her son Jacob. Travis is continuing to see Kristin and keeps making the promise that he will leave Celeste when she’s better.
Kristin is starting to realize that Travis may never leave.
Lacey is starting to miss her friends, she is regretting how she acted. Could there be hope of a reconciliation? She finds a great way to start healing and hopes it will also help others.
Marcus and Brittany seem to be getting closer, she is trying to be a support for Marcus. Marcus continues to worry about his mother.
Chase and Anna Mae take another step forward by revealing their secrets to each other.
Dakota, ugh. She continues to blame her mother for all her problems. And daddy is right on board with her, only she doesn’t see what happens behind closed doors. I feel so bad for Joanne. How far will Joanne go to protect her children, will she survive?

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it! 28 September 2016

Fire and Rain by RK Lilley deals with an everyday problem for some people. . .depression. Celeste is having a very hard time dealing with Jacob's death and Ginny's lies. It is more than she can take and she withdrawals into herself at the cost of the rest of her family. Lacey has really grown over the last few months and steps up to try and reach her mother. I felt heartbroken for her. There was no one there for her during this difficult time. Each episode has so much going on that I am never ready for it to end.

In Fire and Rain things are getting worse by the minute in the Alvarez house household and Dakota continues her never ending downward spiral.

Travis continues to stray further and further from Celeste. Lacey has to step up to the plate anyone's up with a brilliant idea for her brother Jacob.

Lacey is starting to realize that maybe Travis is just stringing her along and will never do what he promised.

Chase and Anna Mae finally come clean with each other and their once broken hearts become whole again.
