*** SPOILER ALERT*** This was an interesting storyline-the marriage of "convenience" for both Annie and Ian. I felt like the main reason Annie got married-her father's issue- was very glossed over-in two sentences all was fixed.
Although the salvation message was mentioned several times throughout the book, I did not feel it was too "preachy."
At the end, I felt the book just ended. I thought there would at least be some type of epilogue. What happened to mom? Dad? Ian's business?
There were a few noticeable typos as well, and in some cases word placement was switched.
However, I would read another book by this author.
Product Description
A clean and wholesome Christian romance by Amazon bestselling author Kristy K. James
What readers are saying about A Fine Mess
~ As a pastor, I have read many books that are called Christian, and a lot of them come off preachy or feel awkward if you just want to read a novel about Christian people living their lives. In this case, Kristy has overcome that, and has created a very believable story about real individuals.
~ This was a very sweet, refreshing Christian romance. Really liked the relationship between Annie and Ian and the fact that there was a lot of interaction and dialogue between the two. ~
~ I downloaded this book for free on my kindle, but I would go back and buy it if I had to. ~
She would sacrifice anything for those she loved...
Annie Blake put her life on hold to care for her mother when she was diagnosed with cancer. She didn't consider it a sacrifice as much as a labor of love. But then she learns that her father has done something completely out of character, not to mention criminal, in a misguided attempt to save the life of his wife. Annie realizes she will have to give up more than just a job and an apartment this time. To save him from going to prison, she will have to give up her freedom.
His life was going according to plan - until the day she showed up...
The last thing Ian McCann expected was the bombshell the daughter of an employee dropped in his lap at the start of the three-day weekend. She needed help, and plenty of it. She also needed it immediately, and hoped he would be able to help. He knew that he could, he just wasn't sure he was prepared to give what it would require to fix everything.

About the Author
It was during the course of a 9th grade creative writing class that I was struck by the writing bug. I'd only signed up for it because I wanted to be an editor on the school paper. Mostly because I'd hoped might give me the opportunity to interview the good looking student teacher in my drama class. I actually did get to do that interview, only I was so nervous I could hardly open my mouth! As an adult I realize he probably knew I had a crush on him... Anyway, thanks to the encouragement of another student teacher, Linda Marks, this one in the writing class I mentioned, I'm sitting here today. She instilled a love of creating stories that has given me great pleasure for most of my life. I'd always enjoyed reading, and still do. But there's just something so amazing about breathing life into characters. About creating a world where I control everything that happens. Usually. Sometimes it seems like the characters take over if they don't like where I'm going with the story though. Yeah, weird... But now I want to share them, and their stories, with you. And hope that you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
