Alexei notices a woman being harassed late one night when he’s out, and steps in to help her, knowing full well his mom would have his hide if he didn’t as that isn’t how she raised him! Unknowingly, this changes the entire course of his life....for the better😀
Ryleigh’s life is a mess! Her roommate up and left her with no money for rent....oh and a baby! When Alexei steps in to help her one night, she doesn’t realise he is going to be her knight in shining armour more than once and that her life and baby Ella’s will too😍
A great story that reveals Alexei is more than just a pro athlete and that he has substance❣️ Loved his and Ryleigh’s chemistry and that she was an independent woman even though circumstances had forced her to where she currently is.
Such a sweet story of gallantry, independence, and love. I fell for Rhyleigh in the first chapter. Her spirit and determination to do the right thing blew me away. Though women who put themselves last for the benefit of others are often relatable to myself, a mother of three young kids, I seemed to connect with this character on a more personal level. Maybe it was her ability to still be a proud and independent woman whilst doing a job that most people see as degrading that got me hooked. Alexie impressed me with his modest and humble heroism and gallantry. He was sweet and yet very alpha. I enjoyed his character immensely. Thank you for a wonderful book addition to a great series.
The one thing I love about reading a book by Kendall Ryan is that you know you’re going to read a great book, and Finding Alexei is no exception. Alexei Ivan, known as Alex to everyone, plays pro-football. One night, he finds a woman being harassed outside the topless club where she works as a waitress, and he intervenes. Something about Ryleigh captivates him, and he manages to persuade her to let him give her a lift home.
She lives in a seedier part of town and when he find out she has temporary custody of her roommate’s two month old baby, Ella, Alexei knows he can’t leave them in Ryleigh’s cold apartment. So he coaxes her back to his million dollar penthouse and impresses her with his handling of baby Ella. His sisters have given him six nieces and nephews, so he knows his way around looking after a little one.
Ryleigh’s life couldn’t be any worse. Her parents are gone, she has no other family, and she’s barely keeping her head above water. She can’t afford to look after a baby, but she knows if she doesn’t Ella will go into foster care and she can’t let that happen, not until she at least finds out what’s happened to Andi, Ella’s mother. She doesn’t know who Alexei is – she doesn’t follow sports – but she can’t resist his offer to help them both, nor can she deny the sparks of attraction that fly between them.
When their friendship becomes something more, Ryleigh knows she can’t expect Alexei to take on both her and the baby. When Andi finally reappears and explains the sad reason for her absence, Ryleigh is torn between wanting to follow her head and her heart. Will Alexei finally convince her he wants them both as a package deal, or will she walk away forever? If you love well written romances, this book’s for you.
That was absolutely worth the wait. You know when you read the blurb for a book and it instantly hooks you only to realise you have months to wait before you can read the book? Well that's what happened here. So much so that I stalked everyone begging for an ARC until they took pity on me.
Then you have that niggling worry before you start reading that maybe you have built it up too far. What if it just doesn't work for you for whatever reason and you have to go back and apologise for the stalking and begging. But nope not this time. This time it was all that I could have wanted.
Alexei was awesome. I really couldn't get enough of him. He was such a gentleman and as his relationship with Rylee developed he just got better. I loved that he had such a massive heart of gold and that he led with it and put it out there without fear.
And don't even get me started on Rylee. She was amazeballs. Having a baby to care for is hard and scary and that's having 9 months to prepare for it. I would say I can't imagine what it would be like to have it happen overnight but Kendall wrote it so perfectly i feel like i just lived it.
The emotions in this were on point and I felt everything. I will admit to shedding a few tears but I did have a lot more happy moments than sad. And the chemistry between these two was off the charts. That said they didn't just jump straight into bed and the progression felt really natural.
So umm yeah it was ok I guess, you know, whatever. Nah can't even play it cool for a minute I freaking loved it. You have to kick off your new year with this book.
This is by far my favourite book by this author! Finding Alexei is such a smooth and captivating read, I could not put it down at all! I loved it! The storyline was so well written and held so many emotions, especially around the baby. I may have teared up a few times, that’s for sure.
Alexei is such a sweet man! Like super sweet. He only just met Ryleigh but he is willing to do anything to make sure she is safe. Add Ella to the mix and Alexei shows why he is my favourite hero written by this author!
Ryleigh is down on her luck. Looking after her friends baby she has no idea what she is doing but she is safe in Alexei’s arms. Ryleigh is a strong heroine, sassy, fun. She tries to do what she thinks is best for the baby in her arms.the sad story surrounding Ella will definitely pull on those heart strings.
This book is a low drama sports romance. I devoured it rather quickly and then instantly wanted to read it again! This read is definitely the perfect way to bring in 2019! I highly recommend
I loved Alexei in Dear Jane and loved him even more in his own story. This was a sweet, cute, swoony love story. Kendall doesn't disappoint in yet another sweet story about finding love. Ryleigh is a strong headed woman who keeps her own but Alexei is such a strong, protective determined man who doesn't take no for an answer. I loved reading their story it kept me captivated and wanting more.
