I enjoyed reading the novel even though it was obvious that Tong was going to be the one who was behind all the goings on involving Timony but
Masters sets the scene for the first meeting between her and Joanna Piercy in my mind so well with Piercy making observations about how Timony looks so impressive from a feminine perspective. As the novel develops the old odd circumstances which are part of the fabric of crime fiction emerge and by the end it seems as if the p-layers still on the stage are pleased to end the evening's performance.
