To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
When on the ropes sometimes it counts to roll the dice. Humanity and it's allies are behind the production curve and unlike the alien virus have to take in to account other matters such as care and morale for it's population. A deep strike mission is launched with several objectives. 1 to draw ships from the front, 2 a spoiling attack, 3 intelegence and attacks on industrial worlds. Good fleet action and as the story unfolds the mounting costs start to effect the characters. One thing I like about CN's writing is that it's character driven. We get the sweeping galactic battles and campaigns but within each book different character subplots drive the story. In this one it's a relationship between a serving officer and another officers wife. Historically this sort of thing leads to court-martial of the offending officer. Considering the damage such a relationship can do to trust and combat capability it will be interesting to find out the fallout from this subplot in the next entry.
