Product Description

Everyone thinks they know me, but they have no idea. I’m nothing like they imagine me to be. My secret is about to come out, the real test will be if anyone is still standing by me when it does. The last person I ever expected to see standing there with a look of acceptance was Christen. She is the picture of perfection, she could never accept me with all of my flaws.

I have wanted Shawn for almost a year now but he barely acknowledges my existence. I’m just the innocent pretty girl. Well I’m about to show him that there is a lot more to me than that. If he wants a fight I’ll give him one.

Will you fight for love no matter the cost?

Fight For Me was originally Fighting To Survive and part of the Guarded Hearts Series. The story has been changed a bit and re-edited to make it a standalone novel.

**Fight For Me is for mature audiences only—strong language, and explicit sexual content are apparent.**

Shawn is keeping secrets from his friends. They think he may be into drugs or worse. He won't tell them anything and is avoiding them all the time now. He knows he doesn't have a choice but to do what he's doing, to stay in school. It's the only way.

Christen likes Shawn, but doesn't really know him that well. He's sexy, funny, but only when he's around, which isn't very often. Going out with her friends to celebrate a birthday, they find themselves in a possible dangerous situation, but what they really find out is Shawn's secret.

After witnessing what Shawn just did, Christen goes to him to see if he is alright and show him he can lean on his friends when he needs to. He doesn't have to do this alone.

Shawn doesn't let anyone get close, not since his Mom left his family. He keeps a wall up around his heart so as not to be hurt, again.

When Christen is assaulted, Shawn comes to her defense, but this is only the beginning of their story.

This book was fast paced and kept me reading the next page. l like how all the characters flow with one another, whether it is friendship, relationship or families.

5 stars!!! I love Alexis Noelle and all her books, she really can do no wrongs in my eyes!!! So yes, this book is just as amazing as her others!!!

Shawn is being secretive and all his friends think that he’s doing drugs…..or worse. He avoiding all his friends and won’t answer any questions. But he knows he has to keep doing what he’s doing in order to stay in school. Cristen is interested in Shawn, but she doesn’t really know him, since he’s so elusive. After a night out with friends, they find themselves in a dangerous situation, which causes Shawn to show his true colors. Now that his secret is out will Cristen still want to be with him or start anything with him? I can’t stress how much I loved this book!! I’m a huge fan of Alexis Noelle!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved Shawn and Christen! 4 August 2015

Finally, Shawn gets uncovered!
He has sauntered discretely through the previous novels, almost as if he was lurking in the shadows, hiding. But what exactly was his story? Well stop all the worrying – because this is his story and he is a secret no more!
Christen has had a bit of a long distance lust going on for Shawn or maybe that is the wrong words, she has always been within his grasp, she just never managed to get how she felt out in the open.
But now that is about to change,
She is the one to visit him to make sure he is ok and it is her little acts of kindness that open his eyes to the fact that she is a wonderful, intelligent, compassionate woman.
They may come from different sides of the track but there is a tie between them that they just can’t deny and they shouldn’t even try!
When the obstacles are finally removed, the two of them get literally swept away in each other. Their relationship takes on a life of its own and flies.
But that is not to say that it is all smooth sailing.
Of course there was always going to a fly in the ointment.
And it would be foolish to consider that it would be anyone other than Christen’s family.
Honestly there are times that you just want to be able to reach into a story, yank the characters by the collar and give them a darn good shake. That is exactly how I felt about Christen’s parents.
But it was an unexpected source that thwarted their plans and gave Shawn the much needed kick to finally man up and go get his woman.
The story didn’t end there… there was one last kicker and I have to say it was a doozy.
I loved the book and the characters, the honesty and the flow of the story meant that it was an easy read that left me feeling all the better for having read it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great romance read! 5 August 2015

Another great read by Alexis Noelle. I didn't really like her previous book Wait for Me (Nicole and Jason's book) but Noelle definitely redeemed herself with this one. We are introduced to Shawn and Christen who are friends with the previous characters-Madison/Carter and Nicole/Jason. So we still get to see what is happening with the other characters after their endings. You dont need to read the previous books since this is a standalone BUT it makes the reader understand the relationship between all the character if the previous books are read. Anyway I digress-Fight for me is an easy romance that pulls at the heart strings. Christen has liked Shawn since she met him but seeing him one night changed everything. Shawn has been hiding a secret from his friends/family until one night changed everything. The chemistry between the two characters is off the charts and the chemistry with the side characters also makes the story likeable. I loved that previous characters were featured so we could see their story going along as well. (but like I said no need to read anything else) Without spoiling anything I will be vague- there was a point in the story where my heart broke for Shawn and the things he needed to do for his family even if it cost him happiness. I would definitely recommend this one if you are looking for something quick with likable characters and an HEA.
4.0 out of 5 stars When the fight outside the ring is even tougher… 4 August 2015

**3.5 rating**

Shawn and Christen are part of a group of friends that have slowly begun pairing off into couples. While Christen has admired Shawn from afar for a long time, Shawn doesn’t notice her in that way until the night is secret is revealed. While everyone is shocked, no one is more surprised than Shawn on how accepting Christen is. When that unexpected spark is the beginning of a romantic road, they take small but steady steps towards a true relationship. Their backgrounds could not be more different and when things come to a tragic crisis will those differences drive them apart for good?

I’ve read these re-worked stories and have really enjoyed the writing style of the author. The characters are distinct and unique and Christen and Shawn are no exception. They are a part of a group that feel real – with joys and sorrows and problems just like any other. There doesn’t seem to be as much angst in this instalment which, for me, allows the characters to development more. This is a quick read and there is a lot to take in in a short amount of time. The storyline seems rushed although all the elements are there to bring the story to a satisfying conclusion. This was a new author to me and I’m looking forward to reading more – especially in a full-length novel format.
