Amazon calculates a product’s star ratings using a machine learned model instead of a raw data average. The machine learned model takes into account factors including: the age of a review, helpfulness votes by customers and whether the reviews are from verified purchases.
This was the second copy of this book that I’ve bought; the first for myself in 2009 and the second for my daughter. Having re-read it recently, I recalled how much I had enjoyed it the first time. It provides a clear and simple ‘popular science’ view of phenomena such as remote viewing, influencing ‘random ‘ events and telepathy. Well written and considered. A good read for anyone interested in how science may explain ‘psychic phenomena ’ .
