i won't be reading any more of the books in this series. Really, they're so very silly. Carol Jordan is supposedly an incredibly talented detective but it appears to me that she can't make a move without consulting Tony Hill. All crimes are solved due to his insight and guidance. Even when it comes to Jordan interviewing a suspect Hill is telling her exactly what to say via an ear piece. But even when he's proven himself beyond doubt, in one of the books she doubts him completely and utterly but of course the crime is solved because of him in the end and of course she's given the credit.
I have to admit that I'm a sucker for the love interest side of a story, which of course this series has, but which can only go on so long. It's all so incredibly implausible and I'm surprised at myself for having read this many of the books in this series. Maybe I was just optimistic that the writing would get better but alas it just doesn't appear to be happening. The story lines border on the ridiculous. I take that back, they don't border, they just are!
Shame on me for reading these books.
