Fever from the moment you start reading you are not able to put it down! Donna Grant's amazingly wonderful imagination takes us on Keltan's journey and into the amazing world of the Dragon Kings.
Keltan does not want a mate and is determined to fight it as it will make him weak. With one beautiful Doctor Bernadette Davies expose in exposing the Dragons can she win him over or break his heart? Twists and turns throughout the book, but the amazing chemistry that evolves between this two amazing characters will leave you on the edge of your seat.
This is book 16 in the Dark Kings series and will take you on a roller coaster ride but it has definitely delivered! With all of our beloved Dragon Kings, intelligent women, light fae (of course our beautiful Rhi), dark fae, the much anticipated battle, fighting, Death plus her Reapers and unanswered questions which will continue in future novels to come. Usaeil's confrontation with unexpected allies to aid the Dragon Kings. There is also a new character and possible love interest for one of our favourite human characters.
All I can say is WOW I have laughed cried and shouted with joy throughout this book! I am giving this book 5 stars Donna Grant's books are so easy to read and if you haven't read her books before this one will certainly leave you wanting more. Pre order or buy now you will not be disappointed I am so looking forward to all the future novels.
Thank you so much Donna Grant for taking our imaginations on this new adventure.
OMG! A new battle in the war against the light fae queen is at hand and this Dragon King story shocks and renders readers’ speechless. Kelton and Bernadette are faced with some impossible choices as they struggle with their attraction and the decisions they must make throughout the story. While their attraction grows stronger, the more questions arise and have them wondering how much of what they feel is real and how much is caused by the manipulate queen in quest to destroy the Dragon Kings.
Readers can’t help but get caught up in all the emotional turmoil that flows from the pages of this fast paced plot but at the same time they find themselves holding their breath, eyes opening wider and wider and biting their nails as surprising and shocking twists answers some questions and raises others. The action and suspense is explosive and in some parts of the story down right shocking as more enemies come to light in this fantastic Dragon King romance.

Keltan, King of the Citrines, has been tasked to what Bernadette knows about dragons. Who has sent her and what proof does she have that will possibly cause trouble for Dreagan? Most of his brothers have found mates, but Keltan wants no part of that weakness as he sees it, but this inquisitive lecturer draws him in.
Bernadette has given up everything she treasured when she was shown proof that dragons exist by an evil Queen. She begins to doubt what she feels and believes as Keltan opens up his world and learns who and what Usaeil really is. A war is brewing that is eons in the making, players are moving into position and pieces are being sacrificed. Bernadette has yet to figure out her place in this much larger world that she had no idea she was a part of.
These two have to overcome their own personal issues about their relationship.
As this series begins to wrap up, at least one of the larger story lines begin to close up, some are within reach, and one is still up in the air. Donna Grant writes an addictive story that will suck you down the rabbit hole.
When Bernadette shows up at Draegan unexpectedly Keltan decides to spend time with her giving her the information she wants in order to discover her source. He will then have Guy wipe her memories of dragons, Dreagan, and of him forever. It is for the best. He doesn't want this mutual attraction they feel, he doesn’t want a human woman, he doesn't want or need a mate. Happy reading. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.
So why am I giving the book five stars? The answer is simple-this book delivered on so much more than a romance. SO MUCH MORE! As a reader, I loved seeing long-time plots play out. The anticipation of wondering which direction the battle between the Fae and the Dragon Kings would play out was delicious. It was all I could do not to skip ahead. I was thrilled to see Rhi front and center, and then devastated for her because of all she's had to shoulder. For years, she has been my favorite character and this book just upped my respect for her. I'm still dying to know the identity of her King. Just when I think I may have figured it out, I find myself second-guessing. It's frustrating in the very best way! I'm also still completely enamored of Constantine. His ability to play the long game, to remain in control of his emotional responses, and to always look out for those he considers family, is why he will always be my favorite Dragon King. He truly is the King of Kings! Lastly, the author has managed to introduce a new character that has really set things spinning in the series, ensuring that the story will continue to move forward in equally familiar and fresh new ways. I'm on pins and needles about this new character's role! So many questions and I am looking forward to the answers.
Five stars-absolutely yes! I'd give it more if I could. If you're a long time fan, prepare for some surprises. If you're new to the series, don't let the fact that this is book sixteen in the series deter you from picking it up. Keltan explains the history of the Dragon Kings to Bernadette early on in the book, allowing a new reader to quickly catch up with the who's who and what's what of this long-running series. It's just enough to hook you on the story! You won't be given so much information that the previous books would be completely spoiled for you.
It is hard to say much and stay spoiler free…Keltan and Bernadette (aww slow smolder) Ulrik (perfect) Con (thought so) Rhi (dang girl!) Ubitch (HA!) Balladin (Oh) So much story left to go, so few books to get there.
I have been an avid reader of Ms. Grants books for the past 7 years. I do recommend reading all the books in the series. The Dark World is vast and knowing everything that has come before makes the ride so much more enjoyable. Her website has a reading order list to make it easy. As someone who reads a lot, and I mean a lot, I love the Dark Worlds/Reapers stories she has created. Her characters are strong, smart and full of heart, no whimpering, whining females here!
While the rest of the world is binge watching tv shows, I’m over here binge reading! Start at the beginning, you won’t regret it. As a matter of fact, I think I may go back there myself – again.
