Product Description

In this final installment, Keiran and Lake face stronger enemies and bigger obstacles while fighting to hold tight to the tattered existence of their love.

When faced with broken love...

Have you ever had the feeling you were a stranger?
Out of reach, I watched and mourned me.
Nothing moved. Breathed. Nothing lived.
I was in an alternate universe.
No longer an innocent.
I had blood on my hands, and I wasn't even sorry for it.
I was only afraid for Keiran.
Of his reaction when the shock wore off.
It would be an explosion.
Of hurt, anger, and mistrust.
He'd know I lied.
And to him...
The betrayal born of my good intentions is worse than the act of murder.

...will you succumb to fear...

She was supposed to be my light.
The one who saved me from the monster.
But when I looked in her eyes that day, I didn't see her.
I only saw my father's killer.

Her love saved me from the monster.
Mine turned her into one.

...or will you be fearless?

It was a little over a year ago that I read Fear Me by B.B. Reid. I remember thinking how jaded and lost Keiran was. I spent half of the book deciding if I actually liked him or hated him. As the series continued, I couldn't help but fall in love with all of the characters in this series.

Fearless shows the growth of Keiran and Lake's relationship with glimpses of the past. It allows us to see aspects we hadn't previously seen in Fear Me. It isn't often that an author will show us how the characters' lives change after their story has been told. B.B. Reid does this in Fearless. Thank you, B.B. Reid, for showing us that Keiran and Lake had more to say.

I love the strength of the female characters in this book. Don't get me is still full of the alpha males with Keiran, Keenan, and Dash. However, this story shows us how the ladies hold these men by their hearts. The story takes its twists and turns like any B.B. Reid story does. As the intrigue of the story builds, I found the girls...especially have the loudest voices in Fearless.

Perhaps it is because this series showed us how cruel, even though he loves her, Keiran could be....that it was righteous to see his heart being held by Lake.

"The idea that I could make him feel vulnerable made me both elated and afraid."

She holds the power over Keiran whether she knows how deeply or not. Would she hold his heart close or crush it? You will have to read it to find out. I found this book to be the perfect conclusion to the Broken Love series. I highly recommend Fearless along with the other books of the Broken Love series. The order of the series is Fear Me, Fear You, Fear Us, Breaking Love, and Fearless. Thank you, B.B. Reid, for an amazing series that I truly have loved reading.

I received an ARC for an honest review from Page Turning Addiction.

If you are looking for a book that brings you an anti-hero that will cement themselves in your heart and endear them to you so hard that you don’t want to admit what they really are, then you need to read a BB Reid book. Reid is a queen at bringing the dark into the forefront, making mean a lot sexy, packing the action and turning up the heat until you are seeking relief.

For fans of this series, this is the book that we have all be dying for. You know, the book where Lake has grown a set of proverbials and makes that shift from submissive to Keiran’s every control to taking charge of situations head on. This is also the book that finally gives all of the answers to those lingering moments that have cropped up in Books 1 – 4 that weren’t really resolved.

Early last year, Keiran cemented his place as one of my favorite anti-hero’s. From the very first encounter in book 1 to the man that I was left with at the end of book 5, I can honestly say that it will take a lot to bump him from this position. As par of the course, the way that he goes about handling situations is aggressive by nature but they difference in this book is that with every action his thought is about Lake. There is no denying that he has changed BUT the dangerous undertones remain and continued to intrigue me throughout. I will admit that BB was able to surprise me quite a bit in this book with Keiran but I never felt that it wasn’t true to his nature.

I loved Lake in this book. I loved how she was finally able to stand up for herself and what SHE believed was the right course of action. We definitely see a lot less of the doormat falling into line behind a dominant personality.

Having tore through the previous four books in the Broken Love series, I couldn't wait for Fearless to be released! Lake and Keiran's story is a tough one, filled with years of abuse and a tortured childhood for each of them. Yet somehow these two found each other... and as each of these books has proven, they can somehow manage to get through it all together. I absolutely LOVE this series and while there are surely tougher dark parts to read in each book, in the end its the love and passion that overshadows everything else. I love this entire group of family and friends, having already enjoyed each of their stories and have laughed and cried with them along the way. Highly, highly recommended dark read!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Just a few things... 6 April 2016
By Jenneal - Published on

I am so sad to say goodbye to my all-time favorite series.
Also, my to all-time favorite book boyfriend ever. *sob!*
This book gave me mixed feelings. Ill explain why, but it may contain a few SPOILERS, so be warned...

Lake drove me a little nuts. It seemed like she narrated her feelings one way, then her actions played out something completely different. Her narration said, "I love him and I'll fight to the death to keep him!" But then her actions said, "lie, lie, lie and run EVERY TIME he upsets you!"

I couldn't quite understand why she lied most of the time. It seemed unnecessary to me. It almost felt like forced drama. She kept lying and running, then would say she didn't trust him.
Oh, Lake.... *shaking head*
I know she was meant to look like she grew a backbone, but she just looked bi***y. She also slaps him a few times in anger and at one point, punches his jaw with a right hook. Kieran was the passive one showing all the mercy. Lake was the one flying off the handle all the time., then running away. (At one point, for a month!)

I was kinda hoping to see a united front with them, fighting this stuff together. I think it was needed.
Instead we had them fighting turmoil and conquering situations on their own, which was nice for them, but didn't show any growth or strength for their relationship. Even 11 months after they're married, She thinks he's going to run and keeps a secret. Again, she doesn't trust him. Which was the theme of the book.

These issues were what kept the book from being a 5 star read for me. I needed to feel them solid as a couple, yet in the end, we weren't really given that at all.
But the epilogue was adorable. So thank you Bebe for that!

Overall, the book felt a bit rushed. Especially the end. Lake -again, dramatically- tells Keiran she's pregnant and then BAM! We're taken to nine years later.
I would have LOOOOVED to hear about his crazy, possessive behavior during her pregnancy. Or how he felt during and after the birth of his son. How did her feel after becoming a father? And how were these feelings for Lake?
These were just skipped over entirely. I felt like they were important. Or, at least for me.

So, maybe a short story could cover these?!?
PLEASE??? ;)

Thank you for giving me these incredibly amazing characters Ms Reid!
Kieran will always own my book heart!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great ending to the series 9 April 2016

Nice ending to a great series.

Not my favorite of the series, Keiran and Lake's back and forth fighting was a little annoying. But all in all we got all the answers we wanted and the fairy tale ending for our favorite group of, or what started out as, teenage master minds. Not your traditional storyline, it is dark, tragic, and a lot of people will have issues with their ages at the beginning. But if you just give it a chance to see the "soul" of the series and the characters that make up this group, you will see that love can conquer all sometimes.

Looking forward to reading Q, Di, and Jesse's story.

5.0 out of 5 stars " Fearless brings the Broken Love series full circle 6 April 2016
By Lisa Kane - Published on

"I crave your fear and I want you safe. But I need to control you."

Fearless brings the Broken Love series full circle. Even after four previous books, so many questions remained unanswered. Who was responsibility for Kennedy's kidnapping and why? Who killed Mitch? Who killed John? Not to mention I wanted closure for Keiran and Lake. Dash and Willow are finally getting the happiness they deserve and have a baby on the way and Keenan and Sheldon have Kennedy and might as well be cemented together. There's no doubt Keenan will never leave or put his girls second in his life.

When Breaking Love ended, Lake had just gotten arrested for Mitch's murder and Keiran, being Keiran, reacted in a way that had me wanting to kick him in the family jewels.

This was my woman in trouble. As soon as I got her out of this s*#t I would wring her neck until I had answers.

After all Lake has suffered from you and all the times she has given her love so unconditionally, he's going to turn on her? Really?

How could I admit that sometimes four years of love didn't seem long enough to battle ten years of torment? The thought alone was heartbreaking but to voice it felt like betrayal.

But Keiran typically reacts poorly when someone he loves is threatened. His obsession with Lake pushes him over the edge. She is his to protect and he is not going to react in a good way when he finds out she acted behind his back, regardless of her intentions.

It's how she affected me. She made me want to hurt her and protect her all at once.

But just like every other mystery in this series, there is so much more to Mitch's death than Lake's actions. Most of the story is a web of deceptions and cover ups and lies and some of those are totally unexpected. Lake and Keiran have been keeping things; important things from each other. And we know how they each react to being kept in the dark or lied to-there's going to be lots of drama and angry sex and hurt feelings.

In five years, Lake had taught me how to love but she hadn't taught me how to forgive.

The thing I love most about Ms. Reid's writing is her Agatha Christie like style. You've read a chapter, moved on and then out of the blue, pages and pages later, something happens and you realize that what you took at face value pages ago, was not what really happened. There was something else going on, only you didn't know that at the time. And then when it all gets revealed you end up thinking, "Why the hell didn't I see that?"

Lake's transformation from victim to aggressor has been a long time in the making. From the timid girl bullied in Fear Me to the young woman refusing to be dominated in Fear You to the secretive, protective woman she is in Fearless, the change has taken years and is in a large part due to Keiran. She was forced to stand up for herself or she would forever cower in fear.

I couldn't breathe. I couldn't-"A-are you breaking up with me?"

But it's Keiran who has probably undergone the greatest change of the characters. Motivated strictly by hatred and revenge he is finally at a point where he can (for the most part) think before he lashes out. Even if that thinking is plotting his next move, rather than acting first and then having to deal with the fallout he created by his impetuous actions. Make no mistake, he will kill to protect Lake, but most times he will think first and then react. She is the reason for this and he knows it. He may not be what is best for her, but neither one of them will let the other go. He is her obsession as strongly as she is his.

So while I knew I could never let her go, a part of me feared we would never be the same.

While there are still some lingering questions (as there should be, otherwise where is Q, Diana and Jesse's story going to go?) almost all are resolved and there is closure. And the's all that I wanted and so much more!
5.0 out of 5 stars The end 19 April 2016

I feel as if I e watched these characters grow up, which I guess I have.. They've all had their issues and problems but in the end, it's family first... We see kerian and lake struggling with their relationship still and there are bad guys still lurking around the corners.. However we get to see a side of kerian we haven't met yet, the softer side.. But when lake leaves him, what happens? Does their relationship survive? Does kerian take a deeper look into himself? Or will they be done for good? All questions are answered in the final book, I have to admit it, I'm sad to see them go :( happy reading :)
5.0 out of 5 stars How Will I Live... 13 April 2016
By CocaKitty - Published on

I have to say that I rarely ever write reviews. Not because I don't have thoughts about the books I read (and I read a lot) but because I have a hard time adequately articulating them. But I'm going to try, because this is the end to one of my favorite series, and I believe the author deserves all the 5 star reviews she can get.

I have been a huge fan of this series since I read the first book. Call me crazy (or deranged, or a freak, etc.) but I love love love an enemies-to-lovers book. And there isn't one that can touch the Broken Love series. Not a single one. Sure there are books that come close, but I haven't ever felt compelled to re-read them to experience that belly-clenching angst that comes from this series.

But I'm not going to drone on any longer about the previous books, because this is a review for the last one (*sob*).

I will admit that I, occasionally, got frustrated with Lake in this book because of her lake of faith in Keiran. Granted, he's been a sadistic bastard in the past, but I don't see how she can question his love and devotion to her at this point. There are people you love, and people who consume you; and Keiran is both in love with, and consumed by, Lake. I expected more of a team aspect to their dealing with this issue, but I do understand the need to keep the tension alive. Additionally, I was sort of taken aback by the abrupt leap in epilogue. It was a little jarring that we were suddenly thrust forward nine years but, again, I get it. There are reasons behind these decisions.

Okay - enough with the bad. I still love, worship, adore, and dream of Keiran. He will forever be up there with Dominick Draven as my absolute favorite book boyfriend ever. Ever. Seriously, ever (again, note that I admit my derangement - get it?). He maintains his Twisted Hero role throughout, even though we see the struggle he goes through with his feelings about his relationship - not about Lake, but about everything in general.

I'm not going to spoil - it's rude. I will say that I, as the reader, got sucked into this rollercoaster and did not fully emerge until I swiped to the last page and let out a broken sigh. It's worth it. Do it.

If you're reading this review and haven't read the other books in the series - go away, go to the first book and start there. Nothing will make sense unless you do. And you won't understand the depth and breadth of this series until you immerse yourself in this world. It's not for the faint of heart, and I believe that's something that has been warned. This isn't a cuddly series, this isn't a safe read. You're gonna feel it in your gut, but it's so so worth it.
