Fasting towards a healthy future

I am not fasting to lose weight but the health benefits sound very interesting. Reading about the effects of sugar on the body is quite worrying. I have always thought as long as I exercised then it was ok to eat the cakes I love making. Very thought provoking. If it can help prevent Alzheimer's then I will fast for 1 day per week. I have found it steers me towards the healthy food the next day. It is not easy and find it best to do on a working day as luckily for me I cannot eat while working...hospital.
