The Farm Book 2 : Behind The Curve (Behind The Curve - The Farm) Kindle Edition
The Sheriff's Department is forced to hand the investigation of the bones to the state police. The case has become too big for the department to investigate alone. The group complies and tries their best to mend fences within the law enforcement community and the neighbors. Surprisingly, their generosity is much appreciated.
A man with a heart set on revenge
As the virus ravaged US businesses, the effects could be felt all the way down to the supermarket. The USDA and FDA started imposing purchasing limits on essentials, especially food. They have volunteered to buy any excesses that do not get sold while they attempt to stop people from 'hoarding' food and necessities so they can be redistributed to those in greater need.
A President who had enough
With the POTUS's proclamation that Antifa and those who would loot and burn down the country be arrested, the violence only intensified. Agent Sullivan and Jake Kendricks both have their shots at the Langtry farm, who just will not comply. Will their efforts work, or will they be behind the curve?

the end of chapter 25 made me do a double take 😄
i am really looking forward to seeing where it goes
Bad, would have been a good story. The doctors’ characters were without merit. Law enforcement iffy at best. The book is about a very wealthy group of middle aged preppers. Much of the story unbelievable. I am only half-way through. Unfortunately I bought both books in the series without reading ALL the reviews. I don’t need a lecture in my fiction. Too bad, as I said, it could have been a good story with balanced views and believable characters.
All that said, there are a few nits that need to be picked.
First, the constant small of the back carry. This is perhaps the single most dangerous way for someone to carry a firearm and every trainer I've either trained under or done workshops with universally bans it from their classes. As doctors, the characters would know the danger that this puts on the spine should they fall back. Given that one character is a known action shooter, this is something she would have known.
Second, the absolute lawlessness of the Federal Agents. I've worked with a lot of agents and they're good people. Sure, there are bad apples, but at the field level, the vast majority are good people. I realize that there's dramatic license, but it would be nice to see some good Feds eventually.
