Val E. Simone
A mind-boggling, gut wrenching, international political-military-medical thriller
30 August 2013 - Published on Amazon.com
This book has more good twists than a cherry licorice stick. As soon as I thought I had it figured out, I got dumped on my butt, and had to rush to catch up. This is a fast action, deep thinkers novel. The authors have an excellent ability to feed you only enough to keep you turning the page. And turn the pages, I did. I couldn't put this book down. The hard-hitting realistic scenes contained in this finely-honed thriller were scary reminders of just what could become a terrible reality for the world today. The action kept me on the skinny edge of my chair. I have previously read Mr. Marcus's two other books, the eerie and exciting, Memories of Darkness, and his science fiction thriller, (still one of my all time favorites) Shadow on the Stars. Here, with The Far Side of Silence, Mr. Marcus delivers fully once again. I can hardly wait for his next book. If you want to escape into a frightening world, this is the book. His new main character, Alexander Gray, is one kick-ass character and just as with his science-fiction hero, Camarch, Mr. Marcus creates another truly dazzling, "want to shout for" hero. I expect to hear from Alexander Gray again very soon.
An attention getter.

I started reading the story and was having a hard time following then things started to click in place. What an exciting piece of writing and intrigue. I did not want to put the book down. Robert Marcus did a wonderful and exciting job of suspense. Well done.

I did enjoy this book; however I couldn't understand if Alex was ex-Navy Seal why was he getting beat up all the time. And during the operation of the president, I had to search for a medical book.

Every time I put this book down I would think about the characters, and wonder what was going to happen to them. I kept picking it back up,and was never disappointed.

This book was an excellent read. I was engrossed from the beginning. Intrigue at its finest is how I choose to describe this book.
