Nothing special. Feels like another comic book story arc except in novel format. I refer to these books as commute or exercise bike books. Nothing special but if you needed something brainless to occupy time such as sitting on a commute bus/train or on the exercise bike, this is perfect. A privately held company builds an inter dimensional traveling device and asked Reed Richards to join so they can use the tag line "Fantastic Forays". But Reed not only refused but he also asked them to shut it down. Kind of hypocritical of Reed since he travels between dimensions all the time but says it is too dangerous for others. Ignoring Reed, they opened the doorway to another dimension only have monsters from that dimension invade earth. The Fantastic Four fight to close the doorway and restore order.
Don't bother buying new or collectible. Get the cheapest used version available.
