Product Description

Under the bright lights of Nashville, Levi Austin is a country music superstar whose life is rocked by the tragic death of his former wife, leaving him to raise their two daughters. Now faced with having to tell his girls, and making the hard decision about where they’ll live, Levi packs his bags and rushes off to Los Angeles—the last place he wants to be, but the one place where no one will recognize him.

Zara Phillips loves two things: her husband Van, and the band she created with her brother, Reverend Sister. To her, her life is perfect until she discovers that her high school sweetheart husband is cheating on her. The paparazzi are relentless, forcing a devastated and heartbroken Zara to stay hidden until the record label demands she shoot a video for the band's new single, driving her out of seclusion.

Two people collide from opposite worlds. Neither knowing who the other is, yet both intrigued by one another. When Levi spills hot coffee on Zara, everything changes. He’s focused on his daughters, trying to do what’s best for them while Zara is determined to get away from everyone and everything in Los Angeles.

When Levi offers her sanctuary at his home in Nashville, Zara jumps at the opportunity to disappear… with the hopes that Levi comes with her.

What transpires next are the lives of two very different people finding their path along a very bumpy and unforgiving road, who are tested by their loved ones, the media and one ex that doesn’t want to go away quietly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book from a new author! 7 July 2017
By No Name - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Famous Love begins with both characters facing tragedy. Zara Phillips, lead singer of the punk rock band Reverend Sister, catches her high school sweetheart and husband of ten years in flagrante delicto with her publicist’s assistant. Levi Austin, country music superstar, receives a call that no man wants to get about the mother of his children. Both of these events taking place around the same time and throwing these two famous musicians into each other’s path.

Their worlds are vastly different yet the same. They both love music and are famous in their own right. They both want the same things out of their personal lives and thought they had that with their first spouses only to end up heartbroken. They constantly have to defend their connection to the people around them which puts friendships and loyalties to the test.

I loved them as a couple. They may look odd together due to their different styles, but there was no stopping the instant chemistry they had. Their feelings developed quickly and at times they questioned it; but when you know, you know. Levi and Zara were really an ideal couple.

Levi was such a good man when he could’ve easily gone another route with his instant fame and fortune. He was a wonderful dad to Stormy and Willow. He did everything in his power to make them happy. Zara wasn’t your typical rocker. She didn’t relish being the center of attention offstage or the party lifestyle. She values family and loyalty above all else and really filled a hole that had been empty in the Austin family even before Iris’s death.

Both characters were endearing and their story was solid. This novel totally didn't read as a debut book. Lelly Hughes really knocked it out of the park! I can't wait to read what she comes up with next. Famous Love is told in alternating points of view and was a really easy read.

It’s definitely one I will revisit- 5 stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!! 3 July 2017

When tragedy strikes, Levi who is a famous country star, flies to LA to collect his two daughters and bring them home with him. While there he spills hot coffee over Zara who is a rock & roll princess. They strike up a friendship, and to escape the tabloids Zara accepts Levi’s offer to stay in his home in Nashville. No spoilers, this is a definite must read, you will certainly not be disappointed!!
This is a beautifully written storyline, which flows seamlessly throughout. I was hooked and enthralled from the very beginning, and I for one cannot wait to read more of this authors work. This is an author to watch out for, and I am certainly adding her to my favourites and 1-click lists. Amazing work Lelly!!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book!

Zara Phillips has two main loves in her life, her husband Van, and the band she started with her brother, Reverend Sister. Both of those were destroyed in the blink of an eye when she walked in to her publicist's office, to see her husband cheating on her. Now with her heart broken, and the band in the air, the paps are like rabid beasts, until she finds herself holed up in her house, before their record label demands that she shoots a new video. And that's where she comes face to face with Levi. Zara doesn't know it, but he's Levi Austin, country music's biggest superstar, who is in LA for a family tragedy. He spills coffee on her hand, and it becomes the best thing to happen to him. They strike up a friendship, and he gives her sanctuary at his ranch, far away from unforgiving eyes. But as they spend more time together, they find a connection that won't be denied. Will their bumpy road make or break them? Famous Love was a story that I was instantly transported into, and it brought out all kinds of dramatic emotions. I loved Zara, so my anger was great with everything that the important people in her life pulled on her, like wanted to junk punch them more than once, in the worst way. And Levi was so very sweet, and sexy, so I was cheering for them from the beginning. With the stuff that he went through, that's where I found my eyes leaky once or twice. Lelly Hughes debut story showed a talented writing style that I could be very addicted to, as this story was very original in this genre. The twists that came out had me cussing like a sailor, not to mention all those secondaries that deserved some serious butt kicking. My biggest issue was the ending that, IN MY OPINION, seemed a bit too rushed for my liking. But I believe that this author will keeping evolving into something amazing, so I'm very excited to read her future works! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This was a sweet, very romantic story about two lost broken souls starting again.
Our heroine, Zara, lead singer for Reverend Sister, does not take BS lightly, when she discovers her husband cheating, where he was clearly desperate to get caught, that spells the end of a 10 year marriage that Zara gave her all too. She may be in shock but she is nobodies fool. She now sees clearly from her husbands reaction that this is not the first time and no matter what Zara believes the old adage "Once a Cheater, always a Cheater". Under the pressure from her publicist and record label Zara will still not cave. From me I have great respect for this girl, she could have easily gone back t her husband to make things easier in her life, but Zara believes that her life and happiness are the most important thing and she is right.

Levi, could not be more different from Zara. He is the good old country boy musician. In his checked shirt, jeans and cowboy hat (Phew, gotta love a cowboy). When he is not making music (very successfully) he lives and works on his ranch in Nashville. The only thing he lives for are his daughters, Stormy and Willow. When news reaches Levi, that his ex-wife (in California) has died, he drops everything to go and comfort his girls. Living with their mother so Stormy could follow her dreams of becoming a dancer was not what Levi had wanted but he did what he thought was best for his girls. Now Levi wants a compromise so as he can move them back to Nashville and be a family, away from the memories and pain.

When Stormy gets a job dancing in the Reverend Sister new music video, and chance encounter is a new beginning for Zara and Levi. There is an instant connection between the two, which they embrace and allow to flourish through a mutual friendship. This book is a slow burn but it is beautifully crafted and told with great love and affection. For a debut novel Lelly Hughes has done an amazing job, and I would definitely recommend for a light romantic read

5.0 out of 5 stars An absolute pleasure to read! 3 July 2017
By Sandra Loves Reading - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I absolutely loved Famous Love and can hardly believe that it's the author's first book it's so good!
Amidst all the drama and performances of one sort or another at the start of the book, this is basically a beautiful love story between a man and a woman who come from very different musical backgrounds, and who, in theory, have nothing in common, but who connect on a level that makes everything else pale into insignificance.
Their love and the love they bear his 2 daughters is something really amazing and I smiled the whole way through this story. It really was a pleasure to read.
I look forward to reading many more books by Lelly Hughes in the future.
